Hi Bichur @ thanks :) , not the check out thing, I wouldn't make a fuss about that, no drama queen silliness. The third option looks about right.. in respect to either my original posts or my replies, and I see that sometimes it's about having to stay the course of my threads to see a balance.... I just wondered if my posts were beginning to be seen as being 'unfriendly' towards Stardock or Wincustomize?

Going into the New Year, I'd just like to check out if my posts are seen as anti Stardock or Wincustomize? I can't quite put my finger on it, it's just started to feel a little awkward to make some posts. Thanks & Happy New Year Andy
Sorry Fuzzy, I'm just an old man with a dog.
Won't work philly, it has to be a phone :D :D @ Chef Garry, it's actually kinda fun watching them continue to surprise you over the years. It's really neat when years of positioning yourself to help them with housing etc.

As always recently, I'm probably out of step on this. I think if you have an issue that you genuinely care about enough to argue/debate, then you probably care more about learning from new information that supports, or indeed challenges any starting position, than you do about being seen to be right. I tend to see debates as more of a journey than about trying to stand firm on shaky ground. As long as you can stand it when the road takes an unexpected turn or hits a bump. <br

Speaking for myself, I have no objection to anybody asking me anything as long as it's done honestly. I will answer as honestly as I feel appropriate for the question. As a User, I come for the resources, as a Subscriber I have the added dimension of the personal pages etc.. As a Wincustomize member there's just so many angles to play off here. Information, characters, skinning environment, fun, games, education etc.... Personally, I don't assume that because

Chet Fitch was an inveterate practical joker in life. But when the 88-year-old died in Ashland, Oregon this past October, he saved one last laugh for his family and friends. They all received Christmas cards from him this year, despite the fact he's been gone for more than two months. Not only that, but the cards contained a return address of "Heaven." At least 34 of the greetings arrived in the mail prior to the holiday. They contained bizarre messages like this one: [B]<b
Alternate Setting, I can relate to the trouble your dog is having ... I've been struggling with Meniere's Disease for a while now ... and naturally it flares up right before Christmas.
That's rough pictoratus, I don't envy you or Boxxi. luckily I was able to bring my dog back home this morning. She's not herse

You're not entirely alone. Yesterday my Wife was out with the car visiting family. I'm the family chef - just put large roast in oven, vegetables being prepared etc, when dog is struck very suddenly with vestibular syndrome. Imagine symptoms like very drunken sailor crossed with vertigo and recurrent petit mal fits, eyes darting madly from side to side, not pleasant at all. Poor thing couldn't stand, was throwing up all over.. absolute chaos. I had no transport, the

At Wincustomize, I'm gonna try and bridge that gap between:- Meaning what I say, which I think I nearly always do + Saying what I mean, which I think I achieve a little less. More generally, I've struck off a fair few of my classic resolutions already, had a tough couple of years to bring my family to a good place - just gotta learn that I can relax a little now and lean into the corners a little more...

Seems like my new job is to be a pain in the arse, it's not from any need to be difficult. It's just that as I'm here, I like to take an active interest, so:- There's a point at which, when you take the personal out of the experience, it seems more like 'dressing' the machine as opposed to being part of the culture of skinning. I understand that's where the term 'mainstream' probably applies. All I'd like to know is, how do you see this vision impacting on the future of the n

On the whole I think there's a ton of good stuff, including, software, general support, atmosphere around Wincustomize etc.. The large community announcement posts have the capacity to confuse the heck out of me though. I see perfectly reasonable questions asked and not replied to, it affects the tone of a thread..... makes it easier for the usual partisan stuff to set in, until it begins to look like there's one group that are the 'Bashers' and another group that form the 'Emperors
In case some people forget, basic SkinStudio is free. Existing users get Object Desktop Ultimate so I don't see how existing customers can argue they're getting a bad deal out of it. The renewal price of Object Desktop Ultimate hasn't been set but will probably be $39.95. I also think some people desperately need to go and look at how much things cost and then come back and argue that Object Desktop isn't a great deal.
<

Just to be clear, I understand that forgetting any other pressures, with the introduction of Vista, there are added demands on both support and development. I don't begrudge a price increase. It's the way it's been structured and presented that concerns me. It was only in August that SkinStudio 6 was annouced as 'A New Era In Skinning Begins!':- "With SkinStudio 6, combined with the upcoming WindowBlinds 6, users can expect a whole new era in skinning thanks

I think it's a tough job to say that I'm all about saving money, however, it doesn't look like a very good move from my point of view. As an XP user, the only thing I personally need from from the Ultimate Package is SkinStudio. As it stands, it looks like you get the $20.00 either way I guess, through my purchasing as part of the Ultimate Package, or as a stand alone app. I'd also like to be clearer about "download a complete Object Desktop package". Will the 'My Co
