you're not suckering me into another one of these polls.... Oh yeah, they all start off harmless, then next thing ya know it's tongues on Tuesdays .... and everyone's telling me I should have prepared better before taking part :D :D
Some very interesting views on 'positive and assertive management', AS
It is from a sense of frustration. I don't have any particular preference to outcome. That's not the point of any of my posts, What I'm saying is that there is nothing that has taken place since this poll began, to suggest to

Looking to the results, do you not think there's a sense in which through failing to commit to the issues, that you compromised any positive message, making it more difficult for people to be clear about what they are being asked to support? That as a consequence, the uncertainty that was created, allowed members to paint their own negative mental picture of advertisements throughout the site, and then vote on that?. The poll results appear to provide the permissions needed, but I'm not sure what questions it really wanted answered. It's certainly open to mischief. For instance, a vote for 'anything that supports the site', could in theory include a yearly sacrifice of a virgin skinner, to appease one or more of the old Gods. It fails to deal head on with any one particular issue. I figured that while the 'I don't care' voters appeared at first glance to be more cynical and dismissive of the poll,
Alternate Setting, after reading your post I clearly see why you chose the personal icon that you did. It fits you perfectly.
For me it goes to the end of 'V'. After all is said and done, beyond terrible acts of revenge, he still knew that the future lay with the community that had so badly failed in the past. I

While the thread is active, I would like to take advantage to check a couple of things out. Is there consensus that these commercially funded sponsorship slots can be reasonably described as adverts? If so, are they being implemented through the mechanism of the existing qualification that I had previously noted could be drawn from the statement below. Further, if the phrasing below is being used as a mechanism for introducing growth, can we expect it to be used more consist
I agree with you as to what it is. I think that you would also agree that the spirit of the description and the general understanding of the community was that subscriptions provided ad free viewing. Yes, the fine print as always leaves the company room to change. No argument from me on that.
I do, and it's not something that I feel has truly been acknowledged.
Who decides what hinders MY surfing experience? Silly stuff.
Yet the loophole, or I suppose a kinder term, would be qualification, does exist and has for some time. While I understand the sentiment, it allows Stardock room to say there isn't an absolute commitment, never to make any 3rd party promotions visible to subscribers. It has a bearing on how the proposal is approached...... and when put into the context of terms, the first thing I need to ask, i
it seemed reasonable to generate a different point of view Somethign of an "alternate setting" as it were. Good feedback AS.
Hehe, I'm just grateful we had notice. If we hadn't been told what it was, then within 2 days we'd have rated it, submitted 2 walls based on the theme and tried to sell the artist a subscription of their very own. :D Seriously though, aligned with the visual impact, the question

Context: I presently only have reasonable site access for approx 10-12hrs per day. (it takes me that long to write some of my posts ;)) If my computer access was restricted to evenings (UK time) I would struggle to access the site at all. So for me, extra goodies aren't so much the issue, as being unable to cache already needed scripts from existing servers. It is only this site, it is always the same time period, it isn't client dependent, nor does it matter whether or not I'm logged

Just be be clear as the 2nd Screenshot might mislead. While in the screenshot, it looks like you are required to provide a lot of information about the recipient, where Island Dog says you should make sure you have the correct e-mail address for the user (the one they use with their account), this is because that apart from the user's name (or user name), that's all the info you need if it's a download. As long as the item isn't actually being posted out, then the other fiel

Do you find it easy to comment? Truth to tell, I often struggle with making comments and so often quietly move on. Although sometimes the author will hit just the right mark and make it easy for me, at other times, there will be elements of a piece I want to applaud, but there's something about the whole that doesn't quite work for me,... and despite an opening request from the author for feedback, I generally don't really feel that there's sco
