Question for Technician:

Question for Technician:

Here it is:

"Dude. What is UP, man?!"

I don't begrudge anyone their talents for the game, and in fact am highly admiring of anyone who can put in the time and study to excel at anything in life, but this guy is pumping out two or three gigantic/maso victories PER DAY for the past, what... half year or so? What is UP?

Other questions are:

1. How long does each one generally take?
2. How does it not get boring doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again? (At least, when you look at the game record, it looks somewhat repetitive... maybe each of the games is a new, exciting adventure, I dunno.)

I'm afraid this message will sound accusatory, trust me that I don't mean it to. I'm just curious how (and why!) he does it.

I mean, even on Large, the only games I've played which took less than three or four hours were ones that I lost quickly (and there were a LOT of them, don't you worry!)

Is this just a ONE-MAN GC WRECKING CREW or what?

(If this has been discussed before, just point the way. I did a search but failed at finding anything.)

You think we should call it The MercenariesThe Space CavalryThe Galactic RebellionThe Post-HumansThe SmugglersThe Time TravellersThe Empire of ChaosThe DimensioneersThe MutantsThe Galactic GypsiesThe Psychic Guild?

Maybe we should go back to an earlier idea and call it Civaholics Anonymous. The theme could be players who are hopelessly addicted to GalCiv and other strategy games. The two advantages are (a) we'd attract all the most active players, and (b) if any of our players retired, we could count that as a victory.

An active discussion in the open forum, wow! A while back you asked what SA stood for and I am surprised that Newfy didn't tell you. It stands for "Snacks Annomous" - which is where Guardians go that have been
"snacked" on by damoose and other undead Canucks :D LOL :D

Actually our active membership is down to. We becomming an old empire fast.

But, as someone said earlier, I think it was ED, we could lose all our active members and the Guardians would still be 10M ahead of everyone else.

But we are still the most active empire with 10 active members posting games so far this month and 18 last month, with most of the other empires down to 2 or 3 at most.

Maybe instead of founding a new empire, build on ED suggestion and form a Greater Meta Alliance, letting people remain in their empires but being a "super empire" that incorporates them as entities. That way they could still maintain their own identities. Not sure how this would work out in the Meta, but perhaps those with multiple personalities could tell people how to do that.

LOL "Hitch hikers of the metaverse" hows that...

LOL

well I started StarFleet in the hope to draw the dedicated .. but it hasn't workid.. even though lots of people did post msgs and such.. I still can't seem to attract any fellow diehard players..Why I don't know.. its a good empire.. so I don't know how good a new empire could be.. I'm a glutten for punishment .. first the tried to revamp the anzacs after which I said that i'd never be an emperor again.. but look at me now.. in a nother empire going nowhere and its my own empire that I stated up..

If you people are really interested in overthrowing 1st place.. then consider joining starfleet.. as I'm not moving again.. and I'm a regular submitter to the metaverse... Why arn't I moving again.. its because this is the 3rd empire i've been involved in.. Starfleet can and will Outlast most if not all empires... even when people / members decide to move on.. as they will do.. however I will be here...

Why start a new empire when there is a stable hungry empire just waiting to be fed...

I like it. Perhaps it illustrates those who are looking for that perfect place, or empire. They stop for a while, then move on. Peace is where you find it.

The Empire of the Rising Phoenix ?

Arising from the ashes of Galactic Civilization Empires.
End of quote

Would be a good name if we wanted Peace Phoenix to be our emperor.
End of quote

Well, I don't have the time to be an emperor. And I live in another timezone, which isn't very pratical with all of you (and yes, I know, DW lived in England and founded the Diplomats empire). And I don't plan to leave.

But the name is very tempting ;p

Really? Google assured me it meant Sexaholics Anonymous. I was a bit unsure what you meant about meeting down at the crypt.

I quite like the Hitch-hiker concept...
Though "Geeks in Space" is growing on me.

We need to whittle it down to a shortlist.
