Ok guys, to answer your questions:

Yes, Novocastrian stands for newcastle upon tyne. I'm half french half italian but live in the UK and also a big fan of NUFC, so I have to balance my passion for europe with my passion for the team. So here is the deal: I'll change the empire's name to European Alliance (or something else, we'll need a vote) once more people join.

Forget about the UN: our mission is precisely to create a bipolar system, s the rule of international lore obviously is not being respected.

The idea of a website is also quite cool. By the way, I have seen a few Belgian and Portuguese empires in the metaverse....l'union fait la force.

Oomph... I've been playing the game all day know. Got a game on gigantic universe with all bright AI's going on. Should be a tech victory anytime soon now.. Should earn me some points :)

Wheew... Finally got the game wrapped up. Already finished it last night but metaverse was down and couldn't submit my score. Got it submitted this morning. Score 7095, I'm happy :) Didn't affect our place in the empire rankings though.

I'm not quite sure about the scoring system.. But my technology victory on gigantic gave me a nice score. Although I think that the fact that it was a gigantic universe gives more score than the victory type itself. Population is a key factor, or so I have understood from other posts.

Tech victory gives greater scores because it usually takes longer than, say a conquest or culture win.

Gary: Click on Metaverse, than click on top empires, than click on European Alliance and at the buttom, click join empire :)

Whew...finally cracked the 10k score :p

Tech victory, on gigantic, on high levels + population will give you higher scores...afaik :)

Jesus...one cannot leave the Alliance for a week end that you people climb the galactic tables with impressive scores ;) . We still need to resolve that issue on rotating senators.

Thanx.. I've got another gigantic game going on now with all intelligent ai's.. Seems to be going ok so far. The friggin Drengins are giving me a hard time though.. We'll see. People at work just seem to think I should have some work done... Damn. Can never seem to finish more than a few turns without some collegue interrupting me :)

The game has ended... Finally... 9030 points.. We have now moved to 6th place :) And yes, yes... I know... This is _not_ a competition :)

Seems like somebody has promoted me to Senator... Thx. Although I'm not sure why that's a good thing :)

I have 6143 in last game (Crippling diff,24x24 map - huge, all oponents set on Genius) but i am still not able to submit it to metaverse Grrrrr.
That was really an incredible battle.

My download is currently on 60%. I've been hanging round here for quit some time now and I found the European idea a very good one. So I already joined it :)

I'll be adding to the membercount of Belgium (Antwerp)
