G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

Just win baby.

Here's your ration of skin you do gooder wimp Drengin slime. Now get back to work

EBZeroMatrix you have been made a senator.

I repeat. Cringe in fear, we come for you.

I can't believe that you all are tossing those little adorable creatures!!! Stop don't chew that, you stupid animal!!!! swazzzzzzzzzzzzzz, oopps sorry!!! do you have superglue to paste the head back to the hobbit, my lightsaber was mad with it. LOL LOL LOL

I prefer to freeze my hobbits first, that way they can't try to escape. Then I just give them the good ol' Force-assisted spin and release.

Unfortuantely, they tend to shatter on impact since they're frozen... so I need to be given a ready supply of fresh hobbits so I can keep throwing ;)

Just delivered a little more to the cause. Another culture bomb, a Gerakken specialty.

When it comes to tossing the wee folk, the method varies a bit depending on weight. Something real small like a pixie gets tossed javelin style after a running start. Hobbits are best done by grabbing both feet and spinning around before release, much like a discus throw. Dwarves are tougher due to greater size and weight. Again, a spinning throw is used, but the dwarf is grabbed with one hand on his belt and the other around his neck. Be careful with the neckhold, though. Some dwarves are really good at getting a bite in and that will probably lead to a spoiled throw and possibly a few stitches.

I spin them around like a hammer thrower, but holding them by the neck, not the feet. You get a better grip. That goes on until their neck snaps and their body flies off. (they're tied up in a ball to make them a bit more aerodynamic). With the same motion, I peg the head in the same direction their body went. There's no rule that they have to be in one piece when they land. And I didn't purposefully snap them in half and throw them twice. It was an "accident".

So, any good-natured hobbits out there who want to help me train? The health plan's pretty good.

I practice with samwise. The biggest fattest hobbit around. That's of course when I'm not practicing with Gimle the Dwarf. Heck, I even toss Theoden around for practice on occasion.

Of course with me they get a life insurance plan too. Heck of alot more useful.

Of course, where you catch the hobbit is very important. Around the shires, several lazy ones can be caught off-guard, especially while they enjoy some of that "wacky tobacky" of theirs. Unfortunately, hobbits outside the shires tend to be the adventurous types and therefore usually highly aware of their surroundings. Nothing seems to be worse than trying to sneak up on a hobbit thief who is already on the prowl, sneaking around looking for things to "borrow".

Well, you've obviously got money to burn if you can afford a life insurance payout for all the training hobbits you knock off. My health plan covers lots of injuries, but they have to be alive to claim it.

That's right we got em. They're all watching the outdoor edmonton game.

Yep, it is time to once again catch the up elevator. I've been working on it, one game at a time. We put that Canadian ghost ship behind us in the past, we can do it again. May the hockey gods distract them long enough for us to sneak by once again!

We're a very small group of active players right now. But we're still the pirate menace!!! We need some new recruits.

I'll be out of action for a bit. Don't know how long. Got called for jury duty and it is a criminal case. I get to report tomorrow and see. So it might just be a few hours out of one day and I am good to go or several days, as I know nothing about the case. (And that is a very good thing for someone in the jury pool. A rare case of ignorance being bliss, and it is more just to the accused.)

I agree! Reasonable, sensible people soon learn how to get out of jury duty! My father-in-law is a retured engineer - usually that alone is enough to get him dismissed.

You could also try flipping through some of those old Penthouse issues while answering questions - that's sure to go down well....

Now where are those old issues dad gummet. Did you take them WW???? Oh well. We still have the new ones.

I always like "Juror #3, this could be a sensitive case of drunken driving can you be unbiased in this case." Juror number 3 wells up a few tears (it works even better for females) "Oh my aunt was killed by a dumb drunk driver when I was little.... "

Uh the defense thanks and dismisses juror #3.

Or this is a death penalty case. "Oh I'm totally against the death penalty. 100%."

Uh the prosecution thanks and dismisses juror #3.

Once they learn I have advanced degrees, they pretty much take me out on preemptory challenges all the time. Both prosecutors and defense attorneys. When I report now they pretty much tell me go home these days.

Not only am I back in action, I even managed to bring back some loot to the ship.

It was an eventful morning, so Gerakken is going to ramble on a bit. I travel from my small town of Pullman to an even smaller town, Colfax, to do my civic duty. (Colfax, Washington: speed trap of the Palouse. It's always interesting when the county seat is one of the smallest towns in the county.) Dashing through the fresh-fallen snow, leaving Pullman for a nice country drive, seeing a car and then later a truck in the ditch and lamenting I had not the time or means to help either. Nothing new there, until I see that one of the gravel/snowplow trucks overturned in the ditch, a large amount of the cargo spilled onto the hillside going up from the ditch. Don't see that everyday. Must have been a real embarrassing call back to the city shop to have them bring out the construction vehicles big enough to move that thing. But I finally make it to the courthouse.

Surprise! Last minute cancellation. Oh well, these things happen, so I was asked to return again tomorrow for another trial. On the drive back home, I pass the gravel truck, now back on its wheels but still mostly in the ditch. A large tractor was pulling it from the front and another tractor was pushing it from the back. There were also two city trucks there, so I was thinking about the four extra people and vehicles that were helping with this when there were surely other things in the snow-covered town digging out of the storm that needed tending if it were not for the accident. So I catch up on the work I missed only to get called later to be told that tomorrow's trial was off because the suspect plead out, and furthermore the court's books were clear for the rest of the week for the holiday. I was off the hook.

Which brings me to the interesting irony. I had three ways to dodge jury duty and I intentionally took none of them. It was going to take a little more than some lost wages and bad circumstances to keep me away. Instead, it came down to a small town court docket clearing itself up for various reasons near Thanksgiving. Although I am one who believes that most of America's large scale institutions have been corrupted almost beyond repair, there is still some magic left in sitting on a jury in a small town trial where there is no celebrity hijinks, no horrible crime grabbing the headlines of the news, and with very few people knowing any real details about the case before it sees trial. I may have missed out this time, but I will be ready if they call again.

Well, I will stop hijacking the thread and return the reader back to normal forum programming. :)
