ANZAC's News From The A.S.S.

ANZAC's News From The A.S.S.

-------------
Intercepted live broard cast from a hidden survailence camera aboard "The A.S.S" installed by some other groups Spy who worked on her at her last manditory Multiverse inspection.
-------------
ANZAC closed Debriefing:

A lot has happened in the last 2 days
With the active recruiting, espionage, sabotage, and Rescue branches

at least 3 (that i know of at this point in time) of our X-Compatriots who decided to try it alone in their budding empire FF, have been persuaded to join GROSS. Our Emporer has just returned from being M.I.A and looks the worse for ware.. However He is alright. {BlueSteel nods towards Worty} GROSS also attempted to gain the services of another of our Collegues "Slitherin" however they were able to return to us {BlueSteel notions towards Slitherin} glad to have you both back..

Our Anti GROSS Propaganda seems to have had a limited effect so far..

Our Ranking in the MetaVerse has jumped back up to 7th thanks to the Return of our mates and myself..
This isn't enough to play a major role in the Multiverse Federated Empire Council.. so we need more Influence out there in the Metaverse

Spread the word to recruit Overlords.. All we need are Overlords who are capable of posting a score at least once a month and then we'll be right back up there with the elite.

Our HQ is now this ship we are now sinning in . "The ANZAC Space Ship", "The A.S.S." {bluesteel looks around to see if there are any smirks from the ranks... of which he is please to see that there are none} . "The ASS (Donkey,Mule,JackASS} was fundimental at Galipolli in the rescue of injured our mates in arms from the front line.. so she is aptly named..

Remember the ANZACS.. "Lest we forget" , let them be an insperation to us all in our Galactic Adventures
We currently have spies in.......

{A siren sounds and you see a lot of ppl running around..} and then the camera jostles around and then you hear "Sir.. we've found something.." you see my hand groap for the camera.. and then you get nothing but static....

BlueSteel,

Funny you should ask, I have literally just completed a game on normal (my first proper game yahoo :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: ), and have just logged on by clicking on metaverse from the game....

Is my game submitted automatically?? If not how do I submit my score?? My player record has not been updated >:( will this show up next time I log on??

TIA, Stupot

Stu,

Were you on the internet at the time you saw the end-game movie? You need to be online at the end of the game to submit the score. Did you see a "Submit Score to the Metaverse" screen? If not, you didn't submit your score.

Frustration leads to cranking, and cranking leads to the Dark Side! (Gerakken does Star Wars. That's a scary thought.) :SURPRISED:

DROP BEAR ATTACKCypher Pax was semi-concealed in the tree. That is he was as concealed as much as a 700 pound Bundy Bear can be in a medium sized tree. However, that was probably okay since Cypher was in Australia where zany things like Bundy Bears in trees are commonplace – and no one would pay him any mind.

Cypher was having trouble getting motivated for this mission. He typically only dropped out of trees as a warm up. The Warp 5 Mass Driver Drop Bear attack was more his style, but it was not an option here. The POSSE would be very upset if he took out Continental Australia to send a message.

Cypher waited patiently (where waiting patiently consisted mostly of swilling down Bundaberg Rum). The ANZACS should be coming out any minute… the ANZACs were gathered in a nearby ampitheater to hear an inspiration speech. Cypher only heard a lot of buzzing.

Eventually, his target came into sight. Blue Steel was escorting his wife… no!, it was the Queen of England (and therefore Australian head-of-state). They were walking rather slowing… at first Cypher thought Blue Steel was being a gentleman, then he realized he was looking to cop a feel.

Their path would take them right under the tree. As they approached, he was spotted by Evil Steve – who waved and then mumbled something unintelligible to Blue Steel. Blue Steel didn’t stop… he was telling a story to the Queen and there was no stopping him once he got going.

Cypher Pax dropped out of the tree. The Queen looked up just in time to see a hairy white arse that would take out both her and Blue Steel.

Cypher Pax dusted them both of, handled them some Bundaberg Rum and made his escape.

Evil Steve was concerned. ‘Blue Steel must have hit his head. He sounds delusional.’

‘I don’t know. He seems to be okay.’ replied Cotal.

However, the damage had been done. The Europeans would likely start a war as they historically very much enjoy starting wars whenever a member of the nobility is slighted or has a bad hair day (and the Drop Bear attack accomplished both). Domestically, the ANZACs would have to deal with the irate Australian Republicans.

Cypher now understood why Gerakken had assigned him this mission). After he had a horse head to go deliver to Rainbird, he could head back to the Retox for some R&R. It had a card attached that said, ‘This is a message from Emperor Blue Steel… you are soon to be demoted from the ANZAC senate.’ It made no sense to Cypher, but it sounded like something Blue Steel would say...

Nice Game Stu :)

Keep it up ANZACS ... they can't say that i didn't give them plenty of warning.. about 150,000 worth of MV Empire points worth..

BTW have you all seen the Europeans and the FOTR News Pages lately.. We are in the headlines of both.

Don't let me down or we'll never hear the end of it from those pesky POSSE Pirates of GROSS. Lets show those miserable deserters that we don't need them. (Of cause if ANY X ANZACS desire to come back make them feel welcome :) some after all are on spying missions for the glory of the ANZACS

and steve looks like you gave poor old CyberPAX too much BEX he's having a bad dream.. either that or he's thinking of us and our upcomming battle. LOL )

its great Theoden..

Heres a report from the battle front.

The ANZACS seem to be pushing the Europeads back towards the Canadians..

I wonder what the Canadians are going to do to the Europeans.

You really have to pitty the Europeans being caught between the mighty ANZACS and those Clever Canadians :)

LOL
Nah, the Euros and the Canadians have a secret deal anyway. Note how the missing Euro emperor is an admitted Francophile and France's Chirac and company likes to spend holiday in Canada? That MUST be a conspiracy! :SURPRISED: Call it a mutual asleep-in-the-grave pact. ;)

OK, Gerakken will take his meds now. Luckily my sedatives have arrived in a handy set of bottles.

Dungeons and Dragons The Movie is far superior to both LOTR films in my opinion.

(So should I put a smiley face here or is it already obvious).

Welcome Stupot, Now you do know about the rule stating you are only allowed to post whilst off your face, right?

I've Just posted my biggest and longest game yet on the metaverse.. took me 5 days to play 5 ai's at normal level on Gigantic. Military Victory.

this is the first time i've seen the last planet of an AI being taken over by a religous group. It took me by surprise (if I'd been watching and thinking straight i'd still be playing) .

My score only increased br 3000 playing the larger map.
I'd gone through all the techs and over half my planets(about 260 ) were all fully developed.

all in all a very long game.. I don't think i'll be playing very many games on gigantic LOL

mate, know how you feel. might play another one when the xpack comes out just to see how it is, but I found it really overwhelming. from a strategy point of view it was ok, but just couldn't keep track of all my planets, ships, starbases etc. I'll stick to the smaller maps in future!

Jeff, Bluesteel
One of the ways I use to keep track of planets is to rename them.

I use the sector name (11-14) then the specialized project and/position they are doing.
ie
11 12 cranker # (1-5)
10 09 support # (1,2)
08 04 border
08 03 Staging

I always use the top 5 production planets to pump out my best ships and then the next two to pump out any support ships I need in a hurry. All the rest are making constructers or transports as needed.

The border planets are the worlds where my defensive fleets are at the moment. I build deence only at these planets and remove them if is no longer a border planet

Staging planets are where I send tranports and new attack ships for fleet deployment. i generally only have three of these and are newly conquered worlds beyound my border worlds.

The big thing about gigantics is not to do things straight away but plan your attackes well in advance and only change if disaster strikes.

While I'm playing a gigantic map i don't do this strictly to rule, but I always make sure every thing is updated and named correctly before I save. Coming back to a gigantic map after 5 days and trying to remember the plan is too hard

Don't give up on them. I'm actually trying smaller maps at the moment and finding it hard to stop planning and just react to the AI

Way to go Blue . . . try less planets? It doesn't seem to score all that much less (400 planets is mind blowing . . . shez). After abot 50 I get too confussed. LOL
