Actually, they are full bottles on the wall! They are removing them, drinking the contents, and no mention of what is done with the empties.

If they are returnable for deposit we could use the extra BC's for research I guess or better security to keep pirates out.

I don't do collectible card games, Ray. They contain a gimmick aimed to appeal to the vain and the insecure. The primary interest is to sell more and more decks. "Buy your way to an advantage" is not my idea of good gameplay, nor generally of a place to find gamers who would share my interests.

The event you describe, with fixed conditions and a nominally even playing field might appear at first glance to be fair, but even then it is not. Knowledge of the decks, the cards, would be crucial. How to obtain that knowledge? Buy more decks. It all comes back in the end to pressure to buy more decks if you want to perform better.

If you are cool with that, or have the restraint to leave off additional buys and can sit content to play from a certain rung of card ownership, more power to you. That the game's designer is personable and generous (in your experience) doesn't factor for me. If you're having fun, you're getting your money's worth. However, that kind of gaming could never be fun for me. It is just not my style.

You should not confuse my disinterest in the game with being jaded on multiplayer in general. You're speculating, and guessing wrong on several counts. If you are curious, do a websearch with two keywords combined: "sirian game". Most of the results will pertain to me and my various gaming activities over the years. Most of them are multiplayer. I've been a busy boy.

Thanks for everything you have done, for encouraging me, and your kind words, I am planning on retire from the game, I will still play, but I am going to be on my own, no empire, no affiliation, no posts on the Metaverse, just playing the game and getting my score up, once in a while you may see a post of me or two, but that is it. I had it with all the people flaming and all the garbage that is going on, without a moderator the forum is not worth it, check the latest statement of wild wombat in the special forces tread and you will understand.

I am sorry but I just do not see why that post is that bad. After the other day, why even read the thread and why would you need to post there anyway?

I say, play, post games, post lightly and all will blow over soon That post is no reason to do as you are suggesting.

I too have noticed there was some tension in the forum lately -- I tried to keep track of what was happening (too bored at work). But Shalom, I do agree with Terl: I saw there was some flaming between you and some special forces, but that's no reason to leave the forum. And even if as I said, things were a little rough lately (I had my own experience in the environmental thread, with Maxtipherous) I don't think it's accurate (in my opinion) to say that there is a lot of flaming and garbage and that the forum is not worth it. I think it's one of the friendliest I've ever seen (though I have a limited experience in the area: not so long ago I was not confortable enough with english to participate): and I say this even though it was the first time in my life I was accused of spreading propaganda as nazi's did (only because I said that there was a greenhouse effect and it was bound to have some consequences) . But I must say it was one person, and there are many others here that are worth talking to, and reading.
I don't think there was a need for another post about you in the special forces thread. But you can just not go in there. It would be a pity for all the new players that come here searching for help if the veterans start quitting because some post that will be lost amidst 1493 others in a few days. Imagine what catastrophy it would be to them if the only help they get is from people like me who cannot get past medium/painful

Just my 6 cents. (the euro is running very high nowadays)
