The Fellowship Halls (Fellowship of the Ring Empire Thread)

Welcome to the Fellowship of the Ring Empire Thread - The Sequel. :)

The old FotR thread was getting too big and it was taking too long to load the thread, thus this new one.

Since this is the first post, I will reproduce some of the more important links for our Empire.

Oh, we'd also have the secret wing, that would identify someone in need

Like that old show from the sixties (I think), The Millionaire. ;)

Oh, we'd also have the secret wing, that would identify someone in need and we would take care of them anonymously. You know, watching the news we see a family burned out of their house and stuck, we just buy them a new one...no press, no glory, they just get presented with a house by a "front man" they can't track back.... Someone needs to go to college but no bucks? They get an anonymous GalCivver scholarship... it would be fun...

Yes, it can feel nice to be nice :)

But it's even nicer to have been nice too! LOL

recreation facilities Shalom was dreaming about.

I was leaning toward setting the home office at those facilities anyway. Then maybe off to Paris for the spring time (it is pretty in the spring).

Work from home is no problem! We would supply the necessary equipment for high speed connections and such and even a laptop with wireless in case you decide to play away from it all :)

Good idea. Just before the awfully hot summer. Since i guess it is my local branch, I can give you all a tour around! :D
(And protect you from the natives: every english speaking person here is called a "putain d'amerloque" --- you don't want to know the translation. Not very nice)

And we can soon expand with the AP. And then explore new markets with Galciv 2.

We drink Torian Tornados in this thread!

Is that good with vodka and lemon ;p ?

I just looked up what that is. I must confess that I had no idea people do usually have "a mild drink (as beer) taken after hard liquor ". I shall try that ;)

Niet.

In fact not really: my wife is russian, so I'm picking it little by little (so i know what she is saying when she starts complaining in russian...). But mostly all of what i pick up that way are not very nice things to say ...

I want some pirashki and kvas. I miss those things.

I just called her to check on that: and indeed, I do miss that too. And the Zakuski with the vodka (zakuski are all the little things you can eat while drinking)

Well people, nice talk. Very little work done. So it would seems there is little point in my staying at the office. So... let's go home :D .
See you later, when I'm in a much more nice place!

(I'm not sure that "much more nice" is good english, but it sounds better than my original "much more nicer" ...)

Terl, are those Jedis loitering over there?
End of quote

Yes they are! But they seem to mean no harm ;)

Maybe the FoTRCTF should quest to find the ruins of Angband. Maybe we could find a way to put it to use in case we do have to exercise some warrants in the future. :)

Of course there is always the technique of dropping the shot, glass and all into the beer and consuming it that way. Boy, the things I learned while in the infantry :)

All the talk of food has made me hungry. They actually made me go to a meeting! The nerve of them, you'd think I worked here :D They never seem to understand that it is us that keeps the Drengin out of this place :)

Iknow. I have the same problem. I try to tell them we need to be ready to repel the Draginol! :sniff!:

Sounds like a good idea. We should be prepared. ;)

Before his quest to find the ruins of Angband (hopefully it is not still in ASCII ;) ), Terl decides to see more of Middle Earth, and wander's in to Bag End Tour 'n' Travel to see what's available. Terl decides to go on the Ruins of Gondolin Tour. Lunch is provided, and in generous quantities, for hobbits do so enjoy their meals. Terl had thought of the Might and Fright of Mordor Tour, but thought it may be too much of a downer, and Khazad D'um was too long of a tour; he wanted a day trip. Hmmm, later when he had time, he may just sign up for the two week adventure tour, Sights and Sounds of the Silmarillion; that sounded quite exciting!

Hey Terl, I know that one: it was in a german bar in south of Brazil. After 5 or 6 of those, ... well, I don't know, I can't remember LOL

At home at last. Sorry for you guys in other time zones ;) . Time to realize a few of the dreams we've been talking about: eating, drinking and playing ( :CONGRAT: no work tomorrow: sometimes there are some good things about beeing a little sick ;p ).

A shall have a shot of Real Russian Vodka (staright from Moscow) in your honor my ring fellows. It has made this afternoon at work a lot more bareable.

See you all later. Wife is calling me for diner. Better not be late. Those russians can be really tough ;p

Euhhh, one last question. FoTR, I know. But what does the CTF stands for?

Criminal Task Force :)

It started on about page 53 or 54, with a storyline of warrants being issued (later cancelled), a news conference, an episode of Middle Earth's Most Wanted :) You should scroll back a ways to see; it is a fun bit of roleplaying :)

I'll read it after my wife is in bed. Otherwise she will stay by my side critiscizing (:(
She doesn't understand the burden of defending the galaxy

Away for dinner now

My wife doesn't understand it either. "Don't you ever get sick of that game?" I do the same, play when she goes to bed. The other trick is to play for a while, save, go do something with her, then sneak back to the game for a while. Rinse and repeat :)

Quite devious and cunning.
But hey, who cares as long as it is effective LOL

I managed to get two games in on Sunday and did not hear "you are not paying attention to me" one time! It works ;)

As for devious and cunning, perhaps that is why I can only manage chaotic good ;) :) (That and the evil games I guess)
