Good morning all! Finally got the pipes thawed on Friday. Took the guys about twenty minutes. Thank goodness the cold snap has passed for a while :)

Gee, don't visit for a couple of days and the empire is all shook up again. Bye, Shalom Shemesh, good luck.

Theoden, do you have an idea for this? I am not sure what he is looking for. I will check the site.

Posted a small game yesterday, and have one almost finished. I am trying to figure out the best way. Silly me allied with the Altarians and they promptly started a war with the remaining civs, the Arceans and Torians. I was getting ready to alpha-strike the Arceans when I scouted a bit and realized they have avatar while I only have dreads.... :( I am hustling now to reestablish some trade routes as over half are gone now :( Oh well...

Bye and good luck, Shalom Shemesh! :)

Terl: I'm glad your pipes got thawed without too much trouble. :)

That's why I never ally with anyone. Every time I do, I'm forced into a war within two turns. I do it only when necessary to survive. :)

It looks like Special Forces got us again! (:( I just submitted a win .... might help a little. ;)

I thought I had learned that too :) Anyway, how much will the relations drop if I break the alliance and make peace with the other 2 civs? I am in a very good place to culture bomb a good chunk of the galaxy...

Great work, guys! The competition with SpecFor is making things very interesting around here! As for me, I'm all for a little action! Shalom's departure just makes our struggle all the more epic! So make ready for battle! Our swords shall be like lightning, our shields like fortresses and our spells like rain! Onward to 5 million and beyond!

Glad to hear you're getting things straightened out Terl. Frozen pipes are bad news.

I never ally until very late in the game and only when I can guarantee I won't be pulled into any wars. I do like to keep relations at Friendly or better just to make things easier, but Alliances just make things difficult again.

As far as the custom graphic for Spellforce, we should try to find out what size he needs first. I'm thinking he wants a picture like what is on our profile page, but I'm sure he'll want a specific size.
Whoops! Just read the Diplomats thread! I guess I'll find something and send it to him! :D

I did get in touch with him. He wants a 100x100 if possible. I just used the picture in my profile and resized it. I sent it as jpeg. He said he can reformat as needed. His email is [email protected]

As for the alliance thing; I agree. I thought it would be safe as there had been no indication of any conflict between that bunch. It has just set my mind to this: the Altarians are going down! I do not like the snooty little %^&$#@! :D

Luckily no damage at all. Turns out is was the fault of the guys who put the doublewide together; they did not isulate the water feed as they should have done. Just a minor inconvenience which is happily all fixed now :) Messed up my GalCiv playing though >:( with other obviously more pressing things to do....

The folks upstairs ended up with frozen pipes--they were on vacation and turned off the heat. Luckily nothing too serious or we would have found out when our roof started leaking.

Terl ive come up with a new statement to go with your profile pix...

I was running chaotic good on my last game and the Altarians chimed in at one point with "we have to rid the galaxy of evil, therefore you have to go" or something similar. They were assilimlated :D They annoy me greatly...

Or: The cat finds a new way to deal with hairballs.
Or: "Here kitty, kitty, this!"
Or: Negotiate with pit bulls from a distance!

I always enjoy eradicating the Alterians! LOL

I like that one the best too.

Spellforce, can you make it: "Here kitty, kitty, this!" Thanks. :)

Terl is having a nice time in the Prancing Pony this evening. There is a lot more space since the destruction and rebuilding of the tavern. The management has even booked a lot of new talent for shows throughout the week. Tonight's entertainment is by a small jazz group from the south known as "The Horns of Gondor". The group has hit the top 40 in Mordor and is looking for a crossover hit with good-aligned folks of Middle Earth.

Terl ponders as to why Shalom has left the Fellowship. He concludes that Shalom is still seeking for something he could not find here. He hopes Shalom finds what it is he seeks after and that whatever it is, once found, is worth the search that preceded.

The next puzzle Terl worked on, was the Altarian situation. Terl decided that the best course of action, at least to his Psychlo side, was what Psychlos did best, extermination. Terl smiled to himself. "Yes, that would be befitting for the little rat brains." He chuckled as he checked his blaster. He left payment on the table for his meal, grabbed the leftover lembas, and made way for his ship.

The sun was bright this day, he thought, yet soon, yes, very soon, the skies over Altarian planets would cloud over with the ships of Terl's fleet. Yes, today was a good day for the end of the snooty, uppity, Altarians, Terl decided. :)

Psssssssssssss guys, (Ijust left for a little while to let the beautiful Ginata enjoy the first place for a while, she deserves after 1 million points submitted) ;)

Terl boarded his ship and gave orders to the crew for immediate departure. "We're heading for Altarian space," he told the crew. "And, once we are done, they will wish we'd never been there," he added with a nice touch of evil in his deep voice.

Terl checked the status of his worlds. Hmmm, morale seems to be a bit low, he noticed. Well, if they don't want to be happy on their own, he could deal with that. He gives the orders for the appropriate measures: nerve stapling and "happy pills". That taken care of he heads off to check his weapons loads.

Terl decided that he may use the new Sartre Missile, you know, the one of the "doesn't matter class" ;) . An apathetic Altarian was surely a doomed Altarian. He giggled happily in the knowledge that the appropriate quantities of constructor ships had been built to establish a beautiful, gleaming, terror star in orbit of each Altarian world. Terl thought it was an awesome sight, no sounds at all, just a nice, glowing ball of fire, where once a planet spun.

I hope no one got mad with me, but we don't have a forum in our website to post anything, and I wanted for her to enjoy at least for a day or 2 the first place. No hard feelings I hope?? :notsure:
Does that mean you're going to return to the Fellowship, Shalom? :)

Terl: Yes, there's nothing more beautiful than a Terror Star in orbit around all the enemy's systems...except the wonderful fireworks show they provide! LOL

I figure SF will not be too happy once they see this thread. I can understand what you are trying to do, yet, I remember being a kid and not enjoying someone just "letting me win" even if for a brief time. It really is not fair to do to them as they are a team, much as we are, and to pull yourself out to drop the score, only to add it back in later is not quite that nice a thing, really. :notsure:

Just my two cents worth here, since you asked.

Well if you din't get mad with me and let me back, I wish we had a secret temple to have our conferences. ;)

I think that Terl summarized every thing, bye.

The only thing I summarized was my opinion on the matter. No where in the post did I say that was how the Fellowship thought about it. Good grief! :notsure:
