The equipment the British and Canadians were using in 1939 is a bit different than what they were using in 1944. By 1944, the allies were all predominately using US manufactured materials (including the Soviets whose uniforms and trucks were made in the US). Also, describing the US's position in 1939-1941 as purely isolationist demonstrates an appalling lack of knowledge on WW2.
