Yeahhhh! I sent in an E-mail and Wincustomize was nice enough to change my name. I gave up trying to pick a nickname a long time ago after registering a few thousand on a chat server.
Have fun! I don't know what everyone uses to make their skins but I use SkinStudio and Paintshop Pro and time.
A recent poll was taken at Wincustomize pertaining to this topic and the top two programs were #1: Adobe Photoshop #2: Jasc Paintshop. Jasc costs 4 times less than Adobe and does a very nice job making graphics.
Studio audience was polled and the response was that most don't know what text ads are. Are they ads with text w/o graphics?
The transparency in some skins is what adds to its uniqueness. If your preference is for square fitting skins then it would be best to stick with those. There are only a million to choose from.
There are areas in most skins that are transparent and may force the window to appear as if doesn't fit properly. This is especially so if someone is use to the default windows that fit oh so snuggly. There are many skins that have square edges w/o transparency which you might want to install and see if that solves the riddle.
I just installed FX (finally) and got all sorts of warnings about not be capatable with my video driver. Running Windows 98, FX was fine with the driver I had but seems XP needed a different video driver installed. I had no idea that my driver needed updated or that my modem driver also needed updating. Just wanted to pass this on in case anyone upgraded from 98 to XP and hasn't checked for an XP driver update.

Is it possible to change a user name and/or if so how would this be done? Creating a new account is a no go on account the email is already set.
What constitutes webblind support? All the windowblind skins I have are listed in the webblind configuration. Seems there is a piece of the puzzle missing from my big picture.
Does that apply to user rating? and how is that determined? Is it by the downloads or by sumthing else. And what is that # next to the Top Authors.
Ahhhh... I might have clicked the webblinds support. I can't remember. Makes sense and good reason to delete it. I updated a skin and while I was working on it I deceided the colors were blah so I changed them and uploaded the new version as the second edition of the original skin. I left the original skin name and just renamed the zip which seems to have caused some problems. I clicked on the update and changed the skin name and reuploaded it. Wincust.. put it as a a duplicate and now there are two. One is rated higher than the other and is the same skin. How is this possible?

I downloaded the update and wondering what ISP only takes 2 hours via modem. Mine took about 9 hours to download. I have not had any trouble and while the download was happening I worked on a skin with multiple programs open.

Doesn't the translucy make semi transparent using the TGA files?
Does anyone really use the extra buttons in windowblinds, such as the roll up, on top, winamp and such?
For what it's worth, I downloaded both the updates using dialup. I started at 5PM and at 2AM went to sleep with 267 hours, 45MB left. From 5PM to about Midnight; Microsoft bumped me a half dozen times but didn't have any trouble reconnecting to resume. So far everything works OK. I don't use the Restore, Microsoft's version of Gateway's Go Back which is really good on paper but in application not so good for the PC.
Ahh.. very good point. Yes the small scrollbar and tab spacer are parts of Windowblinds. I added a small scrollbar and spacer and made them lime green to stick out and they are nowhere to be found. There are other parts that have no default image or size or preview to go by. Trial and error for them but when I can't find the part, I can't adjust the image. Can anyone help??
Would anyone know what a small scroll bar is? I thought it was a different center thing but not. 3 images tiled lime green shows no where. Half the new items I can't find like the tab spacer. I don't know where to go to find the answers and my PC is not showing these anywhere.
