I had trouble like that from a trial program and turned out that I had installed the trial before and the date remained in the registry. Every so often I type regedit in run and clean out all the past program values. I use several reg cleaning programs ( Norton Utilities, System Mechanic ) and they don't remove old program registry values.

Does IE 6 block the skinning of the scrollbar? I just can't figure out why they are showing the default look. I am using webblinds but don't see any config. that might be the cause. Explorer show the scrollbar skinned but IE won't. Is this common?

Thanks for the input. I put windowblinds on a skin to fill a really blank space and thought it looked good. Just wanted to check and not assume it would be OK to use.

Money always seems to be a factor. You are most definately correct. I suggested OD for the amount of utilities it has not for the price. Many apologies.

I used a laptop once and it had an icon on the task-bar for the battery and when miced over it said how much flavor was left to use. I would think all laptops would have that.

Hmmmmmm.... Alzip and purchasing windowblinds? Did I see that correct! I am wondering why strider was not advised to purchase OD! There is not a better deal to customize the desktop than the variety of choices OD makes available. Windowblinds, DesktopX, Objectbar to name a few. Why buy the milk when the cow is a few dollars more.

1001 Free Fonts is one of the first sites I went to years ago and went through every page. I got many good fonts there but mostly for web pages and not for tiny buttons. The best fonts seem to be.. shhhh.. in the windowblind skin folders.

Looked like you had it stretched out in the pic but with all the icons and buttons showing it was hard to see if you had the taskbar unlocked if running XP. One of the best features of Object desktop is the Tablaunch pad. Using TabL pad a person can do some serious cleaning of their taskbar by removing everything to the TLP.

I may be incorrect but XP themes have an additional start menu and task-bar section which only works with XP. Everything else is the same since the XP start menu and task-bar can be turned off and/or look like the original 98 appearance.

I just started making skins and more or less it is familarizing yourself to the parts and then the margins. IMO I made the skin 5 of 4 for the purpose of learning margins. The wizard in SkinStudio sets up a skin you can tweak on. You can also import widgets.
