How can someone get the rating back on a skin when it is taken offline and updated. The users have raised a skin of mine to 9 and if I update it with the start menu panel backgrounds it will go back to a 6 when the monitor puts it back on-line.

I recall seeing a featured skin that had dungeons or dragons in the start menu. If that is the one it would be listed in the featured skins.

I thought the images were suppose to be 40 and 22 but what I did was go by SkinStudio and the preview. I made a strip of colored blocks and adjusted the blocks so the preview showed the right colors and it turned out to be 38 wide per image. As soon as I find the one frame that is off I am going to upload the throbber. THere had to be one frame off to keep me crazy. I cleaned up the images and the throbber looks good now.

I have it working. The images were not lining up properly as suggested. Seems the size can't be compared with other throbbers. I had to make a new strip 38 x 22 for the small one. The large one I haven't figured out yet. The throbber looks better sitting still. Thanks for the suggestion about not being lined up. I never would have thought of that.

Throbber in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I made a throbber that is suppose to flash and it will not behave. It flashes but also moves like a marquee where it is suppose to sit still. Would anyone know what is wrong? There are 32 images in the graphic. One set of 40 x 40 and another 40 x 22. Any suggestions would sincerely appreciated

Why is it called a tree-view? To me it looks nothing like a tree. I propose a new name, Stair-view. I was showing default icons in explorer until I installed a skin that had tree-view icons. But before that it did show the triangles in the folders but not in explorer.

That makes sense. However, Explain this, I uploaded a skin and it was rated 2. I subsequently removed the skin, renamed it, changed the wallpaper and re-uploaded. The rating was changed to a 5. The point being the skin stayed the same and the rating changed because of the wallpaper which most skins don't have. Makes a person wonder.

When a skin is rated, what does that mean? Seems the lower the rating I have on a skin I make the more downloads there are. Does the monitor take into consideration what the feel of the majority wants or what suits Wincustomize more? I have seen some top download skins that honestly made me go hmmm. The menus were unreadable and some even had default blue icons. I am not trying to cut up anyone's work but just wondering profusely on these points and thought I would take them to the ppl to se

Thanks Xymantix. I had my p's and q's mixed up. I don't know how hard it is to write a program but was wondering if there was a way to add multiple/different multi images. In other words, more than one graphic. Also, Norton has a similar program in the utilities which has a few more features that are nice and would be nice in sysmetrix (subliminal hint) Ex: how many users are connected to your machine.

This might sound silly but what does the current desktop in the user profile do? Do you upload the skin you have or just capture the screen and make a picture. If you make a jpg of the desktop, is it put online for all the world to download in a special section that I am not aware of.

In SysMetrix it shows the physical memory as a Percent but shows way over 100 on my machine. Is percent correct and I run at 170% used physical memory most of the time?

That is a good point about the albums. I thought most music is downloaded to CD or DVD and not the hard drive. I am a modem user so that is something I know zip about. 2 hours for one song is not worth the time downloading.
