just a small note. Due to how fast things change in WB, skinstudio has some attributes that do not work yet, or have been abandoned in WB, there is also a possiblility and it would be actually most probable, that i have added some of them when WB4 was still in development and things were uncertain, if such situation happens, please remort it on Skinstudio newsgroups.

(now if only it would help more with Object Bar... like with pictures instead of just code... and have more skin wizard templates for windowblinds than Luna... maybe a template with animation help in it???) well... there is one problem i have with it... I would better like to avoid distributing Skinstudio on 5 CDs <img src="http://images.stardock.com/

WindowBlinds is not going to support PNG for reasons. WB is speed, speed and nothing but the speed. Said that, PNG is quite a complex format, thus, far slower to decode. The second reason is that it would have to load the lpng.dll library which is much heavier than the small routine WB uses to load TGAs. You don't want WB to have it loaded all the time, do you? Now how I imagine the PNG support. Skinstudio would convert TGA images to PNG either on skin open or on first edit action on a

I have a question about usefulness of a feature. As you know WB uses TGA for translucent images that require alpha channel. I've heard some complaints about how bad TGA support in image editing programs is, but i wanted to hear it again... Have the TGA support improved in PS and PSP over time enough to just use TGAs or would you rather want Skinstudio to fake them with PNG's? Do you or do you not dislike TGAs? It would work just like an other visual styles edito

I am Polish. I have sent a mail to the admins of the site and will try to settle things out. I am sure they didn't mean to infringe anyone's copyrights and the whole thing went just out of the desire to bring customization trend to Poland. I understand that removing all of the great stuff you guys have not uploaded there will virtually kill the site as it will have much less quality content. Do you think some of you could give them permission to host some of your great work (of course it wou

Speaking of nostalgy. There are a lot of people not just skinners who have contributed to the scene. Besides those you have mentioned (of which many i know personally and value the highest) Larry I'd really like to thank the Fate for allowing me to meet a few great people not always remembered now for what they have done, but since we are talking theese things i'd like to tribute them: - D the humble and always helpfull Derek Charboneau. He is the one who actually cuased the SkinStudio to ma

The FAQ is great /me loves it. However, you refer to StyleXP in multiple places as "it skins" or suggest that it's a product that actually does something more than cracks uxtheme. I'd suggest you replaced all occurences of "StyleXp" with "Windows XP" or "Visual Styles" or "MSSTYLES engine" even though you say it later explicitly that it does not skin. StyleXP takes a lot of undeserved credit for wat it does not do. /me will try to fit his particular interest into the FAQ now.<br

I've been paying my studies off assembling and selling computers. I've always felt sorry for people spending fortunes buying new PC's (then becoming too slow over a year) and not beeing able to upgrade constantly to the top notch hardware. Of course I have always had the best machine made off the stock components that I needed to demonstrate (to sell them) anyway. I felt like I was lucky. But since about two years ago when (luckily) I have kissed my professors goodbye and got a job as a software

Please go here: http://www.osopinion.com/perl/story/16200.html and here http://www.osopinion.com/perl/story/8147.html Kelly McNeill have went so far in her unification idea that she almost (what we call in skinning) ripped it . I wonder if any thought there is her original one as the rest is just quotes of "experts" This was actually quite funny as when i the other article from Adam Barr's
