I've always believed that schools should have some kind of class that teaches students what the Gov't is about, how it functions and about politics, so that one day when it's their turn to vote, they have a better understanding of how and why they vote for who they chose. This should start from High school on. But that's just me. schools used to have "civics" class and sim. under different titles. i guess they were some of the 1st to go when cutting budgets. ya know, it's much mo

what is even worse is that some are turning this into a partisan issue...maybe some crimes were committed and a possible cover-upikjjrfd...there is an investigation and we will learn of that someday in the future. that isn't important. i hear others bringing up analogies about democrats. again, that's not important now. what is important is protecting our children from predators, wherever they are.

drag,,,do you misread everything? that is hardly what mccain is saying. mccain was saying that we should tell adid what we want, regardless of how he feels, and if he fights us, he will pay. then, regardless of what he thinks, we should come home immediately. you'll probably disagree with that, but hey, that's what you do... and i think the way the GOP looks at "the party position" is by the leadership's statements (like how everything harry reid or nancy pelosi say or don't say is the

Check out this video that pokes fun about Hillary Clinton's possible 2008 Presidential run. Please don't take this as an endorsement or damnation of that prospect...I just thought it was funny. Link

i agree guy,,,,i put that up before writing....then forgot about it when my youngest distracted me and i posted it...meant to change it before posting....then i changed it without correcting my spelling of somalia (i have this bad habit of spelling it "somolia" for some unknown reason) ...but such is life, lol

Recently, Conservative journalists and bloggers have been making up more lies about ex president Clinton. As i've stated before, i'm not a democrat (i'm a libertarian by party, but don't agree withthem all the time either) but I believe it's a shame what is being done to a pretty good President who despite what the radical right wing wants everyone to believe, had a s

oh,,,and you are wrong on the somolia thing,,,,it's not what i was discussing, but here... President Clinton gave a speech on Oct. 8, 1993, to argue against the demands from the conservative right that we withdraw immediately from Somalia and to explain why it was vital that we stay. This is part of what Clinton said in his speech: "And make no mistake about it, if we were to leave Somalia tomorrow, other nations would leave, too. Chaos wou

I listed Clinton's 5 major claims from the interview. so what...i was arguing specific points and all you have done is try to change the subject, reframe the debate to your liking, and insult me. go to hell...you are wrong and cannot even be big enough to admit it. this is why the republicans are losing their grip on power...arrogance and incompetence fueled with a state of denial. sans the "he was obsessed" thing...

Ummm... Perhaps the forums would be a better place for this? I think Brad wanted constructive criticism relating to ideas for the next expansion and the current game, not other ones. note that i began the post with "off topic"...do ya think i didn't realize that? i was hoping for an answer out of courtesy

update.....the allen campaign is in dissaray at this point after repeated and seemingly credible people have been coming forth since the "Macaka" incident charging that Allen, not just once, but repeatedly used racial slurs, most notably, the "N" word in his past. his lack of a credible explanation to anyone for the comment (cmon george, everyone else seems to know where ya got the word from, just admit it), the shying away from admitting the jewish he

off topic,,,i was curious to if ya'll are going to update the political machine...i've beaten all the candidate's in the game on both sides and could use some new challenges. also, if there is gonna be a new version, maybe balancing the field a little might help. maybe it's me, but the game seemed to have a republican slant to it, regardless of which side i was running on. i found it much easier to win as a republican. i was surprised @ no JFK or Ike or some other great historical figures. i wou

10 years ago, a group of politically aware comedy writers had an idea. Create a "fake news" show that was actually funny. They succeeded in that and more. Today, The Daily Show is "THE" show to be on according to both political and entertainment circles. It used to be that Saturday Night Live had the "premier" fake news show, and with the Tonight Show (with

How can anyone refute someone who thinks a memo requesting a review as being a terrorist plan? then you change your story... I defintely think you're pretty dumb or at least very very young. And you clearly were asserting that the memo was evidence of a plan . drag,,,apologize, move on...i am right, you are wrong, period. everything you are saying is nonsense...you read something

No, I defintely think you're pretty dumb or at least very very young. And you clearly were asserting that the memo was evidence of a plan. ok, ya wanna name call idiot? the MEMO was a request to discuss the plan...again your idiotic arrogance has caused you to read it wrong. there is one paragraph from the 9/11 commission report, (page 197) that describes the plan clarke put together and happened during the end of bill'

i liked this from the article...i tend not to use the huffington post as a source very often, as people round here would just scream liberal bias...but there's no spinning these facts....thanks:) So, did Condi immediately convene a meeting of the Principals (i.e., President, Vice President, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, etc)? NO. She waited until September 4, 2001.Did the Bush Administration adopt the position that "al Qida ne

As the Clinton administration drew to a close, Clarke and his staff developed a policy paper of their own [which] incorporated the CIA’s new ideas from the Blue Sky memo , and posed several near-term policy options. Clarke and his staff proposed a goal to “roll back” al Qaeda over a period of three to five years ]…[including] covert aid to the Northern Alliance, covert aid to Uzbekistan, and renewed Predator flights in M

the memo was to discuss the plan, no one is alledging that the memo itself was the plan. ya wanna apologize for the educational insult now? or are ya gonna backpedal on calling me stupid now too? and the push down thing was a joke, notice the "lol" wanna apologize for that error in thinkin as well? still just rhetoric, nonsense and now insults and telling me how i think when you are obviously dead wrong. stil
