Comfort foods - Everything is a comfort food. Somedays (today, for example) I'm a bottomless frickin' pit. For real comfort, though, I find that Old Diet Dr. Crow Pepper works wonders, especially in quantity.

I think that, LA SMH ALL? that this happen, if one of our soldiers were stricken, our PL and our rear-d "commander" *would* be there when that soldier got back. This might be due to not having the newness knocked off of their senses of duty yet, but that's not like it's a ding against them.

While Gail Kim had some decent ring presence, she never really had a hook or any sort of character besides "generic new female that we push to the moon." She had those Rock-like wins at the very beginning of her "career" with WWE that did little to interest the casual viewer and lots to alienate many hardcore fans (as hardcore as fans of the women's division can get, anyway). Putting her over the established talent did more to de-push the top females

I thought of the Segway recently when I saw a family attempting to cross a highway just before rush hour. The mother was riding one of those little four-wheel carts that they're always advertising to seniors on TV. I'm fairly certain that it wasn't because she was disabled (or at least not solely), as she was a little "big," too. Her two boys had to run behind the damned thing pushing it while her teenage daughter (none of the kids on the skinny sid

I thought Murray's deal was: 9/11 happens. Murray goes to the Reserve guys. "Hey, Reserve guys. Can you use an ex-Army cleared linguist of a language type that might be very useful in the War on Terror? Eh?" Reserve guys answer, "We'll get back to you." And then they don't. Murray goes about his business, gets a new gf, a new job, a new apartment. Over a year later, Reserve guys say, "Hey *SGT* Murray, there's a unit that needs a cl

The West End games RPG was pretty horrid, though -- the new D20 version is much better. I can't really speak to the system. I only tried to play it once, and that was under a kid who didn't understand the rules for character creation. Not such a good game session. Mostly, I was speaking of how they h

Personally, I feel that it was a weak individual who made a poor and saddening decision. This makes no more sense than performing the same actions over the breakup of a relationship, the loss of a friend, or your Dungeon Master killing off your favorite 50th level fighter. Suicide - a tragic, but stupid, decision

I do wish no matter what the motivation/plan is/was, that George would put more care into making these movies seem more congruous with IV-VI. It also felt (to me) that he betrayed a whole segment of the hardcore fanbase when he ignored what had been done with the storylines since the first trilogy: the

I was a weird kid. Was? I don't know whether I'm relieved or scared that others have the same idea about the "Episode" tags at the beginning of the films. If they weren't there, it makes 1-3 feel even more like a money grab, and the gaffes in them less forgivable (in my eyes). I wish he could

She also saw the followup message, but I can't recall what you wrote. Probably something homoerotic. It got pretty gay back there. [/and by back there I mean]

"Mr. Frodo?" says the new girl, looking away from the screen where the message from greywar is displayed prominently in order to eye pseudosoldier suspiciously. "It's a quote," scowls pseudosoldier. Turning to face down the hallway, he adds, yelling, "From a gay porn, I think!"

I honestly only disliked the entirety of "Episode One." I did not see "Episode Two." I don't think I will see "Episode Three." I have not seen either the re-mastered versions of the Holy Trilogy nor the re-re-mastered versions. The documentary that comes with the newest box set is friggin' shweet, though. I caught it on some cable channel before the set was available, and it really pumped me up for the original trilogy... too bad they won't rel

I think that while some of the solely political bloggers may go away, many would just shift their focus to attacking/defending the President. I think this might be more prevalent amongst his detractors, as it's always easier to go on the offense in these situations. Personally, with a reduced amount of political talk, I might actually write some articles again. I just felt that the signal to noise ratio was small (my signal to the political noise

He became quite contrite when I signed my last email as "SGT pseudosoldier, USArmy." "I didn't realize that you were a service member, I thought you were some kid trying to fleece me." meh. He's sending the money, at least (at last).
