Yar. But, no. She's long gone, and had lived next door. I'm talking about the duplex next to that. I think we've outlasted everyone on the street besides the "Block Captain," the guy who's supposed to be in charge of enforcing the rules. Additionally, I've nearly outlasted everyone at the unit as well...
Personally, I have a hard time with the notion that Jesus is the only way to heaven--I've grappled with it for years, and always come back to the notion that God couldn't possibly damn to hell for all eternity people who had never ever heard his name uttered. The very notion that small villages in Africa, or remote towns in Asia
I live near the end of a cul-de-sac in on post housing. Unlike my battle buddy SGT Monobrow, who lives in the middle of a village along a well-traveled road, we get no through traffic. While he is hounded two days after mowing his lawn for it being too long, I had gone a couple of months while my wife was gone without touching the damn thing. Burnt brown Texas stub
I have a strict "no spandex without legitimate superpowers" policy. Not even under my PT shorts. I think you're baiting us with the "vote" thing. You've only seen that one blurry picture of grey, and none of me or chip (AFAIK, anyway).
Well, I "splurged" for a "how to" book on Kufi calligraphy... but I got it off of eBay... and I'm sending a personal check... so it'll be a couple of weeks... and the "how to" part is in Arabic. Yah. Well, we'll see.
I'll be... er... pseudosoldier, actually. Kinda already outlined this in my first blog, but... You know how Captain America got the supersoldier serum? Mine wasn't as good. So, I'm kinda tough, and kinda strong, and I kinda have morals that Americans should emulate... I, too, am handicapped by the intense pressure of negative morale.

I would think headphone tricks would be discouraged. For one thing, greywar could just change the seating chart... and if you put something on there, *you'd* have to make sure it was all off after the joke, having to avoid shoe polish/allergic reactions/bad smells both for yourself and for innocent bystanders.
We discovered the absence of the book when on a training mission. Feeling down-trodden, I recalled with fondness the uplifting effects of haiku. Alas, someone had absconded with our book. Oddly, it wasn't as if the drawer had been cleaned out; there were still papers in there that we weren't supposed to have stored there at all, and they were as old as some of the entries in the book.
I must've heard the docs read my blood type outloud when I was born... I'm a pessimist.
Apparently, I've been using a mildly corrupted definition for MTFO, so I'll refrain from using it again before I master it. What I meant was, "You had me cheering like a n00b when you said STFU." I've been really lucky with the birthday thing, but I haven't been in nearly as long as you, Geez.
The way that "trolling" is used around here isn't the common usage, really. You can "trolling" anyone on their comments, whether their comments were flame-bait and inflammatory (the usual definition of trolling) or you just happened to disagree with what they said. The point system is one of the main reasons that I'm here, sadly. That competitive streak in me just won't let go, but I'm too lazy to actually compete in anything, or perhaps too
Hay! You spelled n00b wrong! But you've found the one place that I (probably) won't tell you to STFU. I enjoy your writing.
Seriously, I think y'all should go over to his blog, read it constantly, and give him some good, solid comments. He deserves them more than I.
Well, EL... I'm sorry if it looked like I was blaming you for it. Seriously, I mean that part to be pointed at the *other* named character in the story (because his actions had the opposite effect of what he said he wanted). I was pretty unclear on some of our haiku history, yes. We did continue to populate that book with haiku. Unfortunately, some time between the end of mission and the beginning of our train up this past year, the book di

chip - Not yet (as of 0200 GMT), but I did find "you have got to be shitting me" (in quotes like that) and crack smell . Our man grey comes highly reccomended, it seems.
Is that a verb? If it isn't already, consider it verbed, in the proud Army tradition of verbing (e.g. "We have to SP at 0500"). We used to do a lot of Haiku on the last mission we had. It was a way to relieve some stress. This is until a Haiku written by then SGT Estrogen Lass was read by then SSG Calangelo... he felt that it could have an impact on the
Originally, I misread the title to what it would have said if he had typed it "correctly." I also read "bubba" as "buddha." I'm not going to hate on his mad skillz, yo. I'm sure it was all intentional, and adds to the overall "performance art" quality of his work.
I MTFO'ed for the STFU. I had to frown at the comments about your kids. You've always spoken so fondly of them.
Well, I don't normally do this, even to people's emails. I hate hate hate forwarded messages. This one is from my Mom, God bless her. I haven't checked the veracity of the claims made therein, but it was interesting enough for me to post. If you want to take me to task for it being inaccurate (which I have no idea if it is or is not), meh on you. <
Yeah, well. I just wanted to have an excuse to name him. Tal, you don't know Barbie yet. I would've put her rank as pseudowarrant. And Mr. Sehiclesenis accused the hated Van 2 group (not the Van 2 group no one cares about) of misspelling an Arabic place name that, y'know, isn't usually spelled with the English alphabet. meh. I'm still leaning towards him as at least an accomplice, or maybe an instigator.
SPC N.S. - IIRC, they specifically forbade that passage from being quoted/translated, even into Arabic (including transliterations). It's too common, and they probably already had something for it. They actually wanted us to stay away from the "known" portions of the text, and come up with some inventive "previously unpublished" stuff.
It just occurred to me this morning that perhaps 4LT Kame Hame Ha is a jerk, and he's the reason behind the no-green-jungle-boots policy. I dunno. Two of the other Gs died their green canvas black... I could see it being Barbie, after the way she justified it. "Only one person is authorized that," said the collsup. "No, they're not." "No, just the Alpha ..." "We don't have one of those." Maybe she felt inadequate...</font
