I started looking at 9/11 in history Very long list for sure. However, do you realize that you can assemble a similar list for each and every day of the year? Every single day, something special happens somewhere in the world. It is a great a effort to collect them as you did, but it is a phenomenon that belongs to every day of the year. Happy birth day to your Dad and hope he doesnt let the connection spoil it

thanks to our Forefathers beliefs that every American should have the right to bare arms as the Second Amendment states; it gives the American people a check and balance power against the Gov’t. So our Gov is functioning under the threat of the gun? Is that how it is supposed to be? I thought it is a Gov. democratically elected OR ejected by the VOTES not a mafia syndicate installed OR deposed by the gun. <BR

Atheists believe there is no God; thus no Creator. They developed and use the Darwinian Evolution Theory as a means to that end. Have you ever noticed the fact that proponents of the belief system of Atheism have never proven there is no God or that He is not the Creator, yet this seems to go unmentioned? Lula/KFC These two statements represent what i meant in #66. By saying that you play right in their

God's word HAS no error in it, nor does God's word admit it does I never said God's words contain error. You keep going around in circles. The text describes in details its origins and how it was done. It is clearly not an authentic representation of God's words. It is full of contradictory statements that you try to justify through a lengthy essays and round-about logic. I am not going to quote here what it says, it is a 4 page document with a

While MLK changed America, I would argue that in changing America, he changed the world. MLK was a great man for sure and he pointed to the way to achieve his goals. However, MLK had the world behind him (except SA of course), he had the legal system behind him, he had the political system behind him and he had a LOT of resources .... very smart group of blacks and whites. Mandela had none of that. on the contrary all those who were be

Nelson Mandela. Mandela didnt just change SA, he changed the world over. Before him, many so-called civilized nation approved, didnt mind, accepted, cooperated, ...... etc the barbaric policies of the SA white government against the African majority. He awakened those sleepy nations and made them realize the barbaric nature of the problem. He paid a lot for that. But he prevailed. Not only that, he was magnanimous in his victory.

OK, this may shock you, TA, but a PREFACE is not actually Scripture. No authority holds them to be inspired. The preface refers to errors in a TRANSLATION, NOT errors in the Bible itself. Sorry, but you swung and missed on your claim that the Bible claims to be "just a collection of books" and "found in error". Thanks for the enlightenment. However, the preface of any book tells you its origin, authenticity and how it was written and

Science and religion do not have be at odds. There is an excellent by Dr. Lorence Collins that shows this quite clearly. And they are not at odds. Mutual misunderstanding is at the heart of the problem. On one hand, some Scientists extrapolate Darwin's theory to prove that there was no direct creation of Adam while ignoring Darwin's own statement that his work does not exclude Creation. On the other hand, some theologians extrapolate on Religio

Can you elaborate on this more? I've been reading this book for over 35 years and I don't recall reading this. KFC, i pointed that out to you several times. Here it is again: In the preface of the current Bible(NRSV) it says "it was found that King James Version contains many errors that called for a revision". It proceeds to mention several more revisions till we reach this NRSV. I dont know how clearly you want them to say it.

I appreciate the beauty of the whole creation thing, but please - you're embarassing yourself here Och, Are you serious in your reading of this or just having fun? if so, then ok. no reason to respond. have fun. You never said to anyone "what did you do?" in a rhetorical way while you know full well what they did? Who is embarrassing himself here?

He didn't respect Cain like he did Abel. For some reason. No reason is given. It seems arbitrary - unless there was a plan According to some scholars , there was a reason. The offerings were Adam's idea to see who's offer will be accepted by God to decide who marries the prettiest of the two sisters. It was not disrespect or any thing against Cain. both wanted the pretty one. and it was decided that way. Cain did not accept that

And you in turn keep insisting that every word of Muhammad's Qur'an is of Divine origin. it is not me who say that. It is the text itself. and i always point out that let's take the texts at their own words, be it the Bible or the Qura'an. The Bible ITSELF say that it is a collection of documents by several writers. some of their writings turned out to be incorrect, the Bible itself say that. Qura'an say it is the actual words of God and nothing else. n

After Scripture and faith comes reason which tells me the time frame is short, say 6,000-10,000 years, and not millions of years. this is the problem i am pointed out to you. If you take a trip now to Egypt, you will find solid physical evidence, on the walls and artifacts, to convince anyone beyond a shadow of a doubt that there were people there more than 10,000 yrs ago so advanced to the point of creating art work and paints of sophisticated chemical

but I have to start somewhere. you are absolutely right in that. All I wanted to say is this: Dont blame God for the confusion you are in because of what you read in the Bible. If my experience is in any way useful, here it is: If it doesnt make sense, it is not from God. Period. HE is very logical and practical. Most of all Just, never cruel and most forgiving. Keep that in mind. Anything, anything that contradicts that i, personally, say is n

C'mon everyone of you Darwinism supporters, where's the defense... prove macro-Evolution...tell how you evolved from an ape..give all the details how that happened...show the scientific evidence Lula, the problem is not Darwin or his theory. as you pointed out, He never claimed taht his theory excludes the Creation or the existence of A God. The problem is that you are saying that Humans came to exist on earth only 6000+ years ago. That is when you start

I have doubts and concerns that do not allow me to go down the Faith route, and nothing I have seen or had explained to me yet convinces me otherwise. Dont assume because I have atheist views, that I have a bigotted outlook, that is so far from reality its unreal. Very admirable of you to search and question, just dont restrict that to one book. Read and explore what is available out there.

I'm just saying, go to the source. Anything else is unreliable. that's exactly what I say about the BIBLE. And I've done exactly that - read it (the bible) many times. And, you know? The bible is the reason I don't believe in God or organized religion. Well . . . that, and my experiences with the Catholic Church. So we had "mortal man"

When you get a steel bar and start to put loads on it, it gets stressed. When you remove the load, it regains its former shape as if nothing happened to it. For each metal, or any thing for that matter, there is a load that will stress the system beyond a limit at which the system will not regain its former shape and it suffers a permanent deformation. they are doing a better job of getting information cited with sources. The funny thing about the objection to Wikipedia In This Case is that they listed the history of specific actions by the US Congress and Presidents. we are not talking about opinions. These are records of official US GOV actions. If this was an opinion of any kind, i would understand the objection, but i guess there is no limit at which spin stops.
