I have a comment on my Copperdeck Objectbar by a really offensive screen name. The comment was the usual "How Do I...", no prob there. Just wondering if there is any control on the names.
Delicious...you can report bugs in the WB newsgroup. btw...#3 sounds the most serious...
I am in my third year of Object Desktop subscription and cannot imagine having a computer without it. I use, daily, Windowblinds, IconPackager, ObjectBar and now DesktopX. I just love IconX. It gave new life to my old computer with Win2k on it.
Guys, thanks for the info. Especially IPlural (I was worrying about "Phone Home") I ran McAfee virus checker, and it didn't find anything either. Guess I got alarmed for nothing, but viruses are scary! I have been computing for many years and have never gotten a virus, but I am usually careful.
Well, great. I downloaded this last Thursday when a guy on the board was asking for help on it. I couldn't figure out the solution to his problem, and I deleted the skin. Today I ran a virus checker and didn't find anything. I deleted all unrecognized cookies, ran regclean and am hoping there's no virus on my computer. I am also behind a firewall at work, maybe that will help. I don't think I will ever use the "doubleclick" to install again. I usually look at every zip before extracting,
@shu...you need to contact T-Man. He takes care of this kind of stuff, not Jafo.
Letters wearing off on the keyboard is a statement about the quality of keyboards these days. I have a genuine 1989 IBM PS-2 keyboard that I have been using since 1989. I've had it on four different computers, same keyboard. If I can't see the letters, I know it's time to clean it. The letters never wear off!
Every evening Fox News shows the fires in Australia, and I always think about the "Aussies" I have gotten to know on this message board, and hope that you are all safe. I also think about all of the marvelous wildlife there that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world, and grieve for them.
Fantastic skin!!! Sure wish it was ported to WB.....
Have you thought about trying a dual boot? Win98 on the C: drive first and then XP on another partition. Works well with Win98 and Win2k.
treetog (CopperdeckII, Siderado and SexPistons), Essorant (Ferix) and Graypony (MMJB skins) But everybody already knew that.
I put it on the same drive with PSP7 using PlugInCommander as directory name....Will be right next door to PSP in explorer.
I got an e-mail from them also. Was going to ask about them, but starone already did. I didn't see anything offensive at their website. Wonder if I would get a copy of the mag? Ummm...haven't decided. Anyone else have any input?
If you don't want the Windows taskbar to show, check autohide in Windows taskbar properties. If you want it to stay gone, open The Objectbar .obtheme with notepad and place the following at the end of the file. [Options] HideTaskbar=1
Ohhh, great...Thank you
Chris, where did you find Graypony's Ferix port?
Good find. Thank you for the link. I downloaded a few to study. Maybe I'll learn something.
Thanks for the link, werewolf. I am going to try this out.
werewolf, I am certainly not an expert. I have made one skin, and it was a terrible struggle. All those little graphics were like a zigsaw puzzle. Some things I never did figure out. i.e. getting the frame to tile on the Burner and Portable Device or getting transparency on the frames. The skin lost most of it's character because I had to remove the neat borders that Treetog put on the windowblinds skin because I couldn't get transparency on the frames. I sure wish more people wou
No, they aren't complicated, till you start fitting them together.
The "simple" solution would be to look in the Simple sub-directories and grey-scale everything that is blue. (use selection tool if any magic pink is in graphic)
18MB? My Objectbar is currently using 2,944k. Trayserver is using 1,628k. This is with the Siderado Objectbar I made. Wonder what the difference is...
Um..I don't have a msvcr.dll on my system. There is a msvcrt.dll that was updated by the service pack. Perhaps your service pack download was corrupted. If you unloaded Windowblinds before installing the update, I think it's likely that the problem is with the service pack and not Windowblinds.
