Baker...You are probably right. I didn't think about USB. The ad just didn't make sense to me. But...If the port wasn't already there or a USB card installed, how did he connect the printer to the computer? No need to answer, perhaps I'm being illogical. Didn't sleep much last night.
Yipee! There's hope for a MMJB skin
How about the Mac ad where the guy is woke up by his kid because she couldn't print? Then he takes the computer apart and messes with the cards. I sure would like to know which card fixed it. (guess he never heard of drivers )
I'd settle for 1%
Well, he's a newbie and English is not his first language, so he probably meant well. c242, Hope you are feeling better.
Wish I could pop over and help you when you get ready to do this, but it's too far to drive Just a few more comments, and then we better let this thread die. 1. Check the documentation on your computer to see what kind of memory it uses. There are a lot of different kinds, and you need to be sure it is compatible with your motherboard and existing memory. 2. Check how many available slot
After putting that much work into it, I would tweak something and re-up it. (and be sure to check the box to change the date)
You have to check the box to reset the date. I made the same mistake when I added 48x48 icons to my JWood Icon set.
The problem with books is that they become obsolete so quickly. Back in the good old days (when I had a real job), I bought a lot of books, but they are pretty much worthless now because technology moves so fast. If you buy your memory locally, you might ask about installation. A number of stores will install it free when you buy the memory from them. I am glad to help you, GM. I remember what a nice comment you left on my JWood Windowblinds. I was afraid nobody would lik
Do you think that the XP importing problem relates to some subtle difference between XP home edition and XP professional? I am using XP home. Maybe the importing route is a little more circuitous for home if the skin was made with XP professional in mind (and therefore RAM becomes more of a problem)? Are there differences in the way they skin? I don't think so, but I am on Win2k Associations should not be a factor. I think all of Stardock's programs set their associations.
I had no problem importing Suspiria. It suffers from the white on the sides of the menu panels because it needs transparency and Objectbar doesn't seem to be able to do this properly. If you use Regions=1 and turn off transparency, it will show without white or pink, but Menu comes up funny when clicked (seems to not show all at once, but sort of one panel at a time)and sometimes flashes black. But, as to your problem, I'm couldn't help because I couldn't reproduce the error. Sorry.
GM..Uninstalling OB will not erase any skin that it did not install. If you have edited any skins that came with OB, just tuck a copy of them away somewhere else on your hard drive before uninstalling. I will try converting Suspiria and see if I can figure out what is happening.
Oh, sorry. I was thinking there was a change in status from Citizen if you purchased the products. But, you are right (as usual), WOM. It's the User Level that changes. Robert, if you click on the "About" on the left of the screen under Options, it explains the Titles. I couldn't find the part about the user levels, but it's probably here somewhere.
I think you will need to save a download of Component Manager and re-install it after you have installed your operating system. Serial Number will need to be re-input. If you have OD, I wonder why you are still a citizen?
I don't think any skins that are not active would have any effect on performance. It sounds like you are using the "Import Windowblinds Skin" function of ObjectBar. If so, there may be something wrong with the files in the current skin directory. With all the fiddling I have done with ObjectBar, I have never seen a "object bars is deleting" message. When you updated OB, did you allow it to update the skins? If you have a corruption in a skin file, that would fix it. I think I would try uni
My Win2k computer is using 3,320k memory for Objectbar. This is using a custom SexPistons skin, which is fairly heavy on resources. Trayserver is using 1,588k. I am using ver. 1.49 of Objectbar. I wonder what the difference is.
Be careful, if you read 3k of these posts at one setting, you might not be able to get back through the looking glass.
My favorites are Siderado and Copperdeck (both by Treetog)
I think the ObjectDock is free.
My sympathies to OC and Koasati. I know how painful it is to lose a beloved pet. And Bakerstreet, I like you. I enjoy reading your posts.
I think he is talking about updating a skin.
If you are getting a "not authorized" error message, it is probably a cookie problem. Delete the Wincustomize cookies, log off, and log on again.
Ahhh..I haven't scrolled to the top of the skins list in ages. 267 installed windowblinds. Thanks for the info.
