Jumbles used to make great skins for MMJB, but when version 6 broke all her skins, I think she just quit. I have thought about trying to upgrade them for v. 7, but everybody says MMJB is really hard to skin.

Oh, I haven't seen 7.5 yet. Going to have to get over there and download it. Been too busy lately (and I spend a lot of time hanging out here). Seems to be addictive.
But I'm listening to the Eagles-Get Over It (in my head). Does that count?
Quiet...husband is asleep.
I am devoted to MMJB. It does everything I want it to, and does it well. Look for skins by GrayPony. He is very good at skinning MMJB.
Hi, WOM. I have missed you on the board lately.
Also, sometimes the problem is that different versions of Windows have system commands in different places, and there can be other issues that only show up on certain flavors of Windows. The author does not always have all versions to check it on.
One way is to right click the Objectbar Icon on your system tray and choose Load/ThemeBrowser. Scroll down the list till you come to WindowsXP *Use Windowblinds Skin*, and click on it. If it doesn't show, open Windows Explorer and drill down to your Object Bar/WindowsXP sub-directory. Double click the file "Use Windowblinds Theme" and it will import the taskbar and menu from WB. There should be a link on the start menu for "Use Windowblinds Theme", but there isn't on my computer.
umm...Noia is by Carlitus
Well, jebland regrets saying anything. I try hard never to respond to the posts that upset me (and there have been several) but yesterday, I broke my own rule. I apologize to neophil98. He is entitled to his opinion, just the same as I am, and I shouldn't have been rude.
Treetog, Most of us here really appreciate the wonderful work that you do. And, after dabbling a bit in skinning (mostly screwing up other peoples pixels), I certainly appreciate the time that you put into making these creations.
neophil78...If you will send me your address, I will mail you a check for $10.00, if you will just stop whining. After the contribution that Treetog/Alexandrie have made to the Windows desktop, I am just amazed at such pettiness.
Jafo, I have had pretty good success running DOS games with sound using VDMSound. It supports XP (more so than the Win2k I'm on) http://ntvdm.cjb.net/
Do a search for file name *.uis or go to the subdirectory for your Windowblinds. Open the .uis file with notepad. Scroll down till you find the section [Colors]. There are 2 settings you want to change the numbers on: Window=255 255 255 WindowText=0 0 0 This will make the window white and the text black. It will stay when you re-boot the computer.
Thank you, Jafo. I still have a few issues, but at least the site is "usable" for me now.
There's a setting in Windowblinds for desktop color. I think when you reboot, it is resetting the color as it reads the uis file. The setting is in section [Colors]Background.
T-Man has a new fan here. He got my account fixed. Thank you Pat.
Well, after being locked out "not a registered user" for four days, looks like I'm back.
And when the 56k usually connects at 26400, you even have enough time to get tired of it before the next one finishes downloading.
Awesome...I'm just waiting for my new credit card to get here. Is there a 12 step program anywhere for hopeless inconoholics?
Oh, it sounds like you have changed the color on the WB skin. I just tried that with Copperdeck and it does not use the new colors when it's imported to objectbar. Sorry, I think what you are trying to do isn't possible because the re-coloring does not actually change the bmp files.
Have you tried importing the skin from Windowblinds? The colors are specified in nearly all Windowblinds skins.
Thank you WOM...seems like I'm always saying that.
