I miss Bakerstreet. He has a "way with words" that is quite entertaining.

Careful, Tech Cat. You are treading on thin ice .
Could it be???
#11...Sounds great. I'm not too picky. Well, actually I am, but you obviously have talent. I will look forward to whatever you can come up with. #12...I never use screensavers, but if I did, that would be the one I would want. If I'm not using my computer, I shut it off. Actually, I think DX looks as good as that screensaver. We just need more fish. <img src="http://images.stardock.com
Isn't that a screensaver? With DesktopX, I don't need screensavers. Or is there a way to extract the fish?
This should be a "sticky thread"......Then we could direct each complainer about Wincustomize to this thread. It would save a lot of aggravation!!
#16 "Only journeymen can rate" I don't have a head count, but I don't think there are that many journeymen. I can just hear the screams now about "the concentration of power"
hehe...well put.
I'm in Texas...There are no basements!
I would like one of those treasure chests that open and the bubbles come out (like you see in real aquariums)...but that might be hard to do.
I, too have been enjoying the fishies. DX is really getting amazing. I wish I could figure out to get the fish to turn around when they get to the edge of the screen instead of running off of it. Only the first two do this. The goldfish(?) and the angel. I haven't tried the color shift, didn't know you could do that. Will have to investigate it! Welcome back and I hope you are feeling better. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/events.gif" border=
Trayserver.exe should be in your Program Files\Common Files\Stardock folder. If it isn't there, check the DesktopX binaries newsgroup. A copy of it was posted there. Newsgroup: stardock.desktopx.binaries Post: 6/30/2003 trayserver by RB 113kb
I have no idea. You didn't say what version you had.
I think of Wincustomize as a neighborhood. Some people leave, and new people move in. Some you are sorry to see go, and some you would help them pack if it would get rid of them faster. What I think is absolutely pathetic, is coming back to the old neighborhood and telling everyone how much nicer the new neighbors are. That is really "Low Rent". As is, flaming the old neighbors in the new neighborhood. Sad state, this. ><img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/mad.gi
Right click your desktop. Choose Properties. Click tab "Appearance" Click "Windowblinds" Click "User Overrides" (On the left) The "Skins Decides Taskbar Size" is in the middle of the page.
Q1 and Q3 Try ticking "Start Menu" not "Classic Start Menu" That is probably keeping your taskbar from skinning. Q2 and Q4...I don't know.
WOM.....hehe [Message Edited]
Check your User Overrides in WB Config and see if you have "Skin Decides Taskbar Size" selected. If you have "Large Taskbar Size" selected it will stretch the taskbar and blur the icons. Hope that helps
Are you using the California server? Try the Atlanta server and see if that fixes it. I saw something in the newsgroup about the California server not being happy.
I have been running latest DX with 6 fishies swimming on the desktop with no problems at all. Maybe the Weather thingy might be the problem (?) Dell 8300 P4 3.06 512mg memory and ATI 9800 Pro videocard. XP Home
Sure does, but I couldn't figure out anything on it. Just one of those "Oh well, I tried.
While doing my latest round of updates to Paxx's Breal WB skin (for my own use), I discovered that there is another button on PSP7 tool windows that I cannot get to skin. It is the Pinning button that holds the window open. Sort of an "always on top" function. The close button skins but this one does not.
Asimo, the first clue is the nemowall1 on the .bmp file in the picture. If you search thru Google for Nemo Wallpapers, I think you will find it (and probably many more )
bramble, LongonXP is free. Do you think you paid too much for it?
The only thing I can think of is to check to be sure that trayserver.exe is loading before Windowblinds. The default is to have trayserver in HKLM Run as A1:Stardock Tray Monitor so it will load before other TSRs.
