The database was being restored. There was a small problem that messed some thing up.

It's usually caused by disabling the theme service whilst one of the default XP styles is running. The fix is to start the service, switch the style to windows classic, then you can disable the theme service again without any problems.

I rejected the updated set when it appeared in the upload queue. Not, thought, because of any copyright breaches, but because it wasn't an IP set. If we're rejecting them over copyright, then it looks like a helluva lot of Mac icons would have to go bye bye to.
If you look in your WB folder, delete the .cat files that you find in there, then relaunch either the WB config window, or Display Properties, whichever one you use, and the skins should show up.
Yes, I think the alcohol could quite certainly be a major fact in this irrational objection. Come back tomorrow when you can be suitably embarrased by the whole affair.
Travis, regarding the original problem, sounds like you had the theme service disabled in XP, and if so, you probably did it whilst still running one of the default MSstyles. That would produce the symptoms you experienced.
First you have to make sure you have the appropriate program installed to use the theme. After that, most progs will allow you to auto-install by clicking the file.
If it's the file copy/move/etc dialogs, they're in avi format. Skinstudio has default ones you can insert into a skin, and then use them to get your dimensions.

I've got the issue of CustomPC they mention at the end.The article in that is very pro-Stardock.Ironic, as I'm pretty sure the Andy Hutchinson who wrote is the very same Mr Hutchinson who posts as Dokt (Aka Mr Stardock is evil).
The only thing you can really do is move it left and right. Left content margins pushes the user icon AND text towards the right, and the right margin pulls the text ONLY towards the right. You can also use negative values if you want to move the text back, or even hide the user icon by moving it off the userpane.

Version number of WB? Any error messages? Tried a re-install? No offence, but if you gave Stardock as little info as you gave here, it's doubtless they could help. Even so, they were all on holiday for Xmas anyway, so you wouldn't have gotten a response untill at least Monday. If you want a soloution, you need to provide as much info as possible. My attention has been brought already to 3 skins today that that same person has 'commented'(In the loosest useage of the word) on. One of which was that skin. All 3 were disrespectful, coarse and childish. The offender has been exiled.

I'm a riceboy. I like Japanese. Car that that I aspire to buy some time soon is the R34 Nissan Skyline GTR. Also love the pre-95 UK 200sx (240 in US, 180 in Australiasia). Wouldn't mind a TVR Cerbera as well. One of the few examples of modern British engineering that doesn't totally blow.

Almost all skins for Winamp nowadays come in one of 2 specific formats (Both are just renamed zip files though). You get .wsz files which have been around since WA2, and these will work on both that version, and currentl 3/5 versions. .wal files are the same, but are WA 3/5 specific. (Can't use these on older Pre WA3 vesions) To install them, just click on them, and WInamp will autoapply the skin. If the skin comes in a zip file, you can simply unzip it into a folder
