Make sure the setting is enabled that allows for different frame shapes. (Can't remember the exact attribute name). That should make the transparency work right.

I think the WB reason is that it would munch up a fair bit of memory.
A 'Stupid questions and pointless thread' section would be good. Although it would leave the main board a bit bare....
presumably [email protected] Worth a shot anyway
I can't find the rollup button.
'What is the Matrix' by Mercury. It was a WB skin ahead of it's time.
If you don't have the space, you could invest in a drive caddie which sits in a spare CD Rom bay. I have 2 fitted, and I only paid about £8 UK each for them brand new.
I love the buggers. When this site first went up, I threw a hissy fit on the messageboard regarding Hoverdesk not being here. I threw my toys out of the pram, took my ball and went home. And that was just the stupidest, and most ignorant, thing I've done. I was totally wrong, out of order, and if I recall, very rude to Brad. In fact, I don't know if he even remembers me being an ass, but in any case, I'll apologise sincerely here to him publically. Stardock are the s
And not to mention that people always make the assumption that the person they mailed DID actually receive the mail. The interwebnet thingy doesn't always work the way people want it to...
If you drop them an e-amil and ask, and also try and have a small screenshot handy, most authors will be happy to allow permisions. When you upload, a txt file should be included that has the permission information inside.
Will there be people who will do commercial skins AND free skins too? On behalf of myself and Mike, I'd just like to say *ahem*......
Voodoo_Freak, Honz12 and whats-his-name, the guy that made Hellfire (yeah, Hippy, thats the one) are examples of Scotland's great skinners. Shame on you, Mr Kuperman. You forgot the man who went before us all, Neil Allerdice, AKA Thredz.
I do believe the quality of Mac skins is highly superior to what we can do on the Windows side. That stems from, as Brad said, more graphics proffesionals using Macs. Just take a look through the archive of themes and schemes at Kaleidoscope, and you'll see way more creativity and originality. The fact that probably about 60% of MSStyles are Mac ports, and about 30% of WB skins in the last year and a half have been WB ports of MSStyle ports of Mac themes shows people are preffering to use
Not sure what you mean by join, as I do believe he's in one piece, but I'll let him know about this thread.
I hope it goes ahead. I've been looking for an excuse to get my dress out and give it an airing. Haven't worn it since the GUI's....
And they're still better than some of the stuff around nowadays.
What's an 'aurthor'? ;p
Please, don't post requesting comments.
The best would be one of the top end progs, like Corel or Photoshop. But if you're new to skinning and haven't had much graphics experience, you can either get hold of The Gimp, which is a free graphics program availbal for both Windows and Linux. There's also Paint Shop Pro. It's one of the overall best progs out of the affordable ones, and is pretty well repected, and used by a large majority of skinners. This would probably be the best one to go for.
I tried to digest it, but the monitor got stuck in my throat, and I had to go to the hospital.
You don't need a mouse mat with an optical mouse. They'll run on any surface pretty much. I use mine straight on my desk, no worries. Definitely a good purchase Richard, I'd highly reccomend getting one. I use the MS Intellimouse Exploreer model. No trouble at all with it, and I've not encountered any of the problems Fuzzy logic has had.
That's really pathetic. I feel sorry for you actually, having to take time to do this sort of stuff, just for attention. You should get a girlfriend, or failing that, a cat...... [Message Edited]
hehe, I'm thinking that was meant to be 'function'
As for Miraikane, it won't be ported ever. Becuase Mr Bart has finally decided to skin WB!
