Well, I'm pretty vocal about my feelings on it, as you know. I think the quality of skins is poor compared to the 'old days', as it were. Although when it comes right down to it, if I want a skin made the way I'd like, I would do it myself. Most people make for themselves, then upload. So there's always going to be someone who moans. (Usually me... )

All of the programs will work with it. It's just that some elements from a couple of them won't be present. The main example would be that WB would no longer have a taskbar to skin. But other than that, if you were so inclined, you could have DX running alongside your Litestep theme, ditto for OB.

You are aware of how busy those folks at Stardock really are? They can't just drop everything they're doing in the middle of a large project just to sort all your problems out. When they have time and resources available to fix a problem, they will, and they'll let everyone know. Do you honestly believe they'd ignore a problem with one of their main programs? Please.....

Yeah, same here. I wish per-pixel was supported in more apps. Really kills a good skin sometimes when it needs to be aliased.

I think the only way would be to use WB scripting to create the animations, then you could control them.
The left margins pushes both the text and icon to the right. It does work. The right margin, however, doesn't affect the icon, and actually pulls the text to the right, on it's own. Very weird setup.
You can generally miss out 96, 74 and 64 thought.
Winamp 3 has been canned. Project is dead. I think you may well be confusing it with the new WA5 beta that came out.

The way the text colour work is you set up presets, and then assign them to various sections. In your case, the skin you're trying to change most likely has the same colour preset set for the userpane and the other parts that change. You'd need assign an alternate preset for the Userpane to change it independantly.

You could use content margins to hide the text and only show the icon, although I don't know if this would decrease the space between task buttons, or if you'd have a big gap where the rest of it should be.

The image has to be the same height as the scrollbar. By default each one is 16x16 as that's the default Windows scrollbar height. If you're using metrics in WB, or have set it in windows display properties to be bigger, then the image would need to be bigger.
