If you have a good quality graphics program (Like Photoshop or PSP), you're better using that, then import the graphics into and icon prog and use that to save out to .ico format.

I use Photoshop, them import PSD's into Gif Movie Gear, which lets me save out to .ico format. Mormegil uses Corel for his stuff, and does them in vectors. And from the looks of the Chaninja Sub Zero ones, Chaninja does his in a 3D app of some kind. You're better to keep experimenting and eventually you'll find one that you like and are comfortable with.

Hehe, Moshi summed it up there perfectly. Aston is like a skinnable explorer but with a few bits moved around. It's not really got the power or functionality of LS. Granted, it has a fairly good community and support, but I really just didn't take to the program at all.

I tried Aston last week. Lasted about 20 mins on my system before I uninstalled it. Of those 2, I definitely prefer LS.

Most PC-graphic/web design mags give away a copy of the Photoshop trial on their coverdiscs. Worth checking your local newsagents to see what they have. If you're UK based, Computer Arts is the best one to go for.

I think Blackcomb is the fastest one. It has a UIS1 subskin, plus I believe all the images are optimised quite well.

I'd say that they're accepted because the original source of the work is known, as opposed to ripping off some unkown artists work.

British Superbikes lose a legend in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

If anyone here's a fan of the British Superbikes Championship, you'll be sad to hear that Steve Hislop was killed in a helicopter crash at the weekend. Seems all the legends are dropping like flies lately. First we had Sheene, now Hizzy. Such a sad loss.

USF is Universal Skin Format. It's kinda a midway point between various other formats. Like, for example, you can convert an MSStyle to USF, or a WB skin to USF. And USF format can be converted to UIS and WMP formats, etc.
