Object Desktop is free upgrades for a year, WB is free upgrade untill the next version number. Which works out better, as ,in theory, if you bought WB4, if it took 1 and a 1/2 years to get up to WB5, you'd still get all the upgrades inbetween after a year was up. If you have an OD subscription though, you can go from V3 to V4 for free, if your subscription is still active.

WB has a setting that turns the userpic off. You can access it by hitting the 'advanced' button on the appearance tab in display properties and the option is the bottom one in the top left section of the dialog.

Well, after watching the first of the 2 qualifying races, I have to say I love this new one-shot qualifying rule. The Honda's were quite impressive, although I was so hoping for Villeneuve to pick up a crap lap time, thus humbling him and his big-ass ego, and maybe soften his crappy attitude toward Jenson Button. Looking VERY forward to the race.

Yep, I gotta agree with you two when I pick Montoya as my favourite to topple Shumacher. Failing that I'd probably pick Barichello, although I think we'll still see Micheal take the championship again.

Roll on Saturday. Can't wait for the new season, although I think a lot of the new rules introduced are quite simply futile crap. The teams wanted rules that cut costs, so why didn't the FIA simply limit to teams to a set budget for the season? Or an alternative would be to take a similar approach to F3/F3000 and have an outside comapny contracted to build the body and chassis, and the teams then buy from them. One team I'm anxious to see this year is Sauber. Essentially the

Which, in a related way, leads me to a question. Anyone know how the other 'mind reader' trick works, the one where there's some playing cards, and you have to think of one, then you click the button and it tells which one you were thinking of?

And it switches the symbols on the numbers round each time. So all the multiples of 9 will be bells, then next time they will all be snowflakes, etc, so as not to make a pattern appear.

Stoobear, if you have a helmet, I suggest you put it on, as you're about to get hit with a full scale rant, simply because greedy selfish pricks like you irritate the hell out of me. Why the hell shouldn't skinners get paid for their work?! No-one goes to a graphic designer company, or a web developer and says "Hey build me a site" or "Make me some flyers" and then when he gets a quote for the price, says "Why should I pay that?" Oh please! And if the amount of 'crap', as you pu

If your top/bottom margins for the left and right borders are bigger than your top bottom frames, use those two figures for determingin the rollup height. You might get a bit of horrible overlapping if you don't.

I was just reading IPlural's handy shutdown shortcut tip, and I figured a thread full of such tips would be cool. I don't know a whole lot, but one handy tip I can pass on is something that I came up with on my old system. It was very slow, and at that time I had 2050 fonts installed, so it took ages for me to open my fonts folder to install new ones. I found that if you create a shortcut to it in your 'send to' folder, you could then install fonts, both single and large groups
