What happened to Number 1 guy? in Strategies Stardock Forums

I can't remember the name, but he was the guy that averaged 3 submissions a day for 60,000 points from mid-Feb. Did he finally get booted? Playing this game 24/7, I still serious doubt that would be possible, and that's not factoring in sleeping/eating/school/work/a life. Far more plausible that he hacked the scores, which is easy for even a beginning hacker. I can't even find his empire on the map anymore, the name of which I also forgot. Trade routes in Strategies Stardock Forums

Is ten the max number of trade routes you can ever have? Just curious, cause I've in situations where all my bonus routes add up to more than ten, and was wondering if there was any point in even trying to expand them any further once I reach ten total?

I just finished the campaign in the new AP expansion. I was awesome, but how do I submit the score? It seemed to add up all the scores I got in each part of the campaign. I assumed it would submit my final overall score, as if I just finished 1 big game. All it did, however, was just say "next mission" and "exit to main menu" When I click next mission, it just showed the ending story, and went back to the menu. It gave me no option to submit the score, even though the window itself still as

When you submit all your scores to the metaverse, how do they come up with the score they post for the rankings and such? I figured they just added up all the scores that you posted, but that's not right, and it's not an average either. I'm still new, only three games played and submitted. I'm ranked something like 2330 :D with a score of about 7200. I'm just trying to figure out how they came up with that?

Cool, all your advice has been very helpful. I'm finally winning a game. I set it to cakewalk, so I could concentrate on figuring things out, and not getting my ass beat :D Almost forgot about upgrading the game. Thanks Newfy for the reminder. Will this affect the current game I'm playing, or only future games? Should I wait to DL/install patches until current game is complete?

So it's normal for every new colony you get to put you further and further into debt? I got the trade thing down, plus the economic improvements, but how does that help me if I go bankrupt well before I can get any of those? I usually play on a gigantic galaxy, and all the starter strategies say to go and colonize stuff right away to get a good start, but how does that help when those colonies are what's bankrupting me? I just started playing this game yesterday, and it seems really fun, but i'm having troubling getting a handle on the whole economy thing. When I start the game I set both my tax rate and my gov spending rate at 50%. With Earth as my only planet this usually gives me an income to expense rate of about 14 to 7, which I figured wasn't too bad. Once I colonize my first planet, however it all goes hell.
