I've read in the manual that it's possible to vote to have the UP meet more often than every four years... but on browsing through the UP issues I couldn't find that particular issue. Is it possible to create it?

Specifically the conflict is between the Galactic Taxi Service and Portable Crystal Computer at ID 30, like PP said, but that's the GoodEvil pack (oh, is that the same thing as Nidaros?). That aside the Omega Pack renders a lot of other stuff in GalCiv obsolete with slightly overpowered ships - the interceptor with an attack of 10, for example, before the corvette (at least I think it was before the corvette? maybe i found it at an asteroid or something..) or the patrol ship with propul

Okay, I've not been able to play this through as my game got a little screwed over.. MODs I'm running include: GoodEvilImprovementPack (also has techs) Advanced Transports and Freighters Cultural Capital Religious Capital Enhanced Terraforming Expanded Invasion Strategies Nidaros Event Pack OmegaPack For anyone who needs to know, the OmegaPack and GoodEvilImprovement pack conflict - Galactic Taxi Service has the same ID (30) as the Portable Crystal C

Is there a program I can use to compare my in-use MODs to each other and make sure none of them are conflicting.. and thereby find a free ID? I'd hate to change it only to have it conflict with something else. Some improvements don't seem to need or use IDs at all in the Omega pack, while others do. I don't understand that.

Yeah, I should've come back in here. Yes, Tourism was part of a MOD. Turns out it WAS my alignment - I didn't realize there were specific numbers within neutrality/good/evil where various techs could pop in or not! Still, what's with the morality string not found thing under some alien civilizations? And why the audio woes I suffer from? *points at audio thread*

Ah. Either way, Enhanced Tourism hasn't shown up either. I played a game before and I snagged the service without problems - but I installed another mod since then, the Omega Pack. At least I think that was since then. Oh. Doh. I thought Tourism came with the game itself. It seems to be part of the EvilGood pack. So it must be morality based!? DAMN THOSE WORMS! Specifically, I have.. GoodEvilImprovementPack (also has techs) Advanced Transports and Freighte

I only realized it was missing on my nice gigantic map (which was all going so well) when the stinking Caritoids went and built the Galactic Taxi Service. BAH! So I loaded an autosave to take a closer look - because if I'd had it, I would've built it, after all! I did study Tourism, as it shows up in the archives - but enhanced tourism doesn't show, despite having tourism as its only requisite tech. Not only that, but the tourism social project Galactic Taxi Service (BEFORE the caritoid

I'm going to have to go looking to see if this has happened before, but as is.. I've studied Tourism, yet Enhanced Tourism doesn't show up - despite having it's only prerequisite listed as Tourism. That, and the Carinoids build the Galactic Taxi Service, which made me mad, as I was racing to build everything first >_ Annoying to suddenly find I can't research anything along the tourism path. Along with that I've got this strange thing where under morality of nations I know, ev

I've downloaded those mp3 codecs from Stardock numerous times (on ADSL, with and without Download Accelerator Plus 7), but they seem to have some sort of install error... when installing it talks about a missing file *redownloads to see error message* "The file C:\Documents and Settings\Sam Rivers\Desktop\l3codecp.acm could not be opened." I have no idea how to bypass that error. My specific audio problem is that audio on occasion skips. The music, whatever - unless I'

I didn't see a version number either. Mucking around with the map editor, the only way to get stars on there is by choosing to randomize stars, then clear them so I have a fresh map to work with :/ What I'd like to do is just create a nice, gigantic spiral galaxy... and NOT have to name every single star! It'd be nice if I could just create the layout, then import that into game - and then the game could randomize start locations/resources/planets without changing the stars aro
