Baker: I do agree. I think some teachers try to take on too many roles. This detracts from learning in the classroom. This could be why some teachers get bogged down with so much work and quit the profession after 5 years. LW: Wow...I didn't realize what exactly she said to you. Ok..I admit, I would be pissed. It sounds like emotions ran pretty high. I hope that soon you two will be able to see eye to eye, but it does sound like

Mod: I am not saying that a teacher knows their students better than their parents. I just think that the parents and teachers should work on the same side instead of working against each other.
Shovelheat: Haha..maybe we can work something out between middle school and jail..hmm...that could get interesting. A: Thanks for the endearing comments. Some of the parents get so anal and do everything possible to hinder teachers. It's so annoying! LW: I wasn't writing this at you, personally. I have read your arguments and I think you do have some strong points. Just maybe take Marcie's comments with a grain of salt

Haha...i wanted to get out because it was all I knew. I was ready to move on. When I first moved to NY, I longed to go back and see the state I once so desperately despised. Now I just look back and think that hey, it wasnt as bad as I made it out to be. You can take the girl out of Ohio, but you cant take Ohio out of the girl. Go Bucks, Go Browns, and Go Indians.
Hello JU....long time no write. As of right now, my brain is running a million miles a minute and I need to write a rant about life, feelings, relationships, and everything in between. First off, has anyone ever heard of former supermodel Gia Carangi? She was huge in the late 70's and early 80's (about the same time as Surreal Life mega biatch Janice Dick

April 30, 1984. I barely remember what happened, yet parts of it are so distinctly clear. Grandma had come over and everyone was frantically running around the house that afternoon. Mom had told me that we had to go to the hospital because it was time to meet my new baby sister or brother. I remember thinking how neat it would be to have a baby sister.
Guess what, JU...Michael asked Chrissy to marry him!! I couldn't be happier for two more people! Although I've never met Michael, it sounds like he's a great guy. I don't want to blab the story since she'll more than likely blog about it, but it's definately a tear jerker! Chrissy--May your engagement be just the start of wonderful times to come. Michael
I scored a 42...for the most part, it sounds like me....

Nice writtings. Very inspirational to say the least. Btw: I used to be really good friends with Brian Pittman...I have no idea where he is these days, I hear he quit the band, but I remember going all over Canton to see them. My aunt had Matt Theissen in grade school..hehe..
K-I will have to postpone our phonecall today.... I'm sorry!! I will talk to you soon!
Teaching is having a strange effect on my bed time. I'm so freakin tired, so I'm going to hit the hay here soon. Today I feel like I made progress. I related the lessons to them and their rap music. Heck, I even rapped and a few kids "got served!" haha. Tomorrow is the day I have the kids from hell. I will let everyone know how it goes!<!-- Ju-Anchor-Footer-Star
Thinking back, my mom would have pulled my hair out if I walked out of the house in some shirt that said "cheap" in glitter and matching denim micro mini....that's not even mentioning a thong! How can some parents let this go on? Sure, I believe that it's important to instill the women of the future with ideas of equality and independence, but there's a difference between being smart and thinking about your sexuality, and just being plain s
tex: sounds like you know a bit about teaching. Didn't you say you were eventually going to teach? With advice like that you will be great! I think some of it might come from motherhood as well. Dharma: I think I'm going to try something new with them...getting down on their level if you will---I will be relating what I am trying to teach to music they like. I will call you tomorrow when I get a second to breathe and let you (and
I get up at 5:45 and I'm off to school by 7. I arrive at 7:20 to a bunch of kids waiting ouside my office asking questions about what I clearly stated 46372 times the day before. I'm not even to my first class. The bell rings. It's time for hall duty. Kids are scrambling about, still figuring out where to go. I guide them. I'm still not even to my first class.
