Frogboy, I am using the SD installer. Here is a new twist. When I uninstall 1.9 after it starts crashing, then reboot, then clean registry of anything that says ObjectDock, then reboot again, then load 1.59 with CNTL+r, then run it.......IT IS 1.9!!!!!!! It will probably turn out to be something in my system but, as I have said before...ObjectDock Free 1.9 has NO problems. Runs like a champ. Every time. What is Plus trying to do that Free isn't??????? Thanks f

Thanks Bichur! Sure enough, I lost all my files. Hopefully I can find them on a backup DVD. 1. I don't know which cache you are referring to, so I don't know if I cleared it. I think you may be correct though. It seems to find my old files (which I can't find), then works fine with them the first time but dies when I close it and then reopen. Never works after that. I think it has something to do with AppsImages.ini. I have been rebooting between each step. I also scrounged a

#1, I GOTTA ask this and I am serious as a heart attack here....are you joking about all that stuff with the reg cleaners and figuring out where all of my downloaded stuff is and uninstalling every attempt I made to get 1.9 to run? Is it progressively storing all installs...even the same version? PLEASE tell me your post was a complete windup! How would I get my files back in OD after SDC uninstall had erased them all and I removed all the reg info (after I went out and bought a reg cl

I just upgraded to 1.9 from 1.59 (which gave me no trouble). 1.9 runs the fist time after install and that's it. Crashes every time after that. Went back to 1.59, no problem. Tried 1.9 again and same symptoms. Uninstalled 1.9 three times and it acted the same way. OD Free 1.9 works no prob. Rocketdock works no prob. 1.59 no probs. It looks to me like 1.9 is looking for Last(Cobalt) in the .ini files. These folders are not being installed on my machine. And, YES, it's fully regi

More information on my #18 post. Free OD works like a charm (my OD+ IS licensed...activated through SDC download). Also, I looked at the Plus .ini files and they are pointing to Last (Cobalt). I don't have this. Could that be the problem?

I am getting crashes every time I try to run the new version AFTER the first run. First run OK, constant crash after that. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. I don't know how to get more information on the problem since it won't run at all. I have stripped my startup stuff clean. Checking with Whatsrunning. Can't see anything out of the ordinary. No other problems with the system. I am running with the lastest Nvidia drivers but nothing else of theirs turned on. <img src="http

DTX in Desktop Object vs DTX Pro in Widget talk WinCustomize Forums

I have Object Desktop and hence DesktopX but in reading ROMANDA's fine tutorial he talks about the Professional version. I can't see where to get that or even if it is different than what I have in DO. Can anyone esplen' this to me. I would like to have the professional version if I don't. TIA

OK, well. WOM, could you be a little more specific about the crap part other than the "load of crap" generalization. I am most interested in how having 2 categories "punishes" one category or the other. Or is it just "I'm not on top" is punishment? I am just offering an opinion and looking for feedback that educates me or changes things....WOM, "we need a verb Senator!".

OK, if someone gives you GREAT help.....DO WHAT THEY SAY!!! Went throught the same process you prescribed again and VOILA! no crash. For now I am back on track. Stardock, current NVIDIA drivers/apps are NOT your friends. Guess what...they are going to be putting out drivers whether they work with you guys or not. Oops! Forgot my original intent (hard to keep on track when you have insulted someone trying to help). Neil, JMBdev, if you are willing to support me after the mini-bashing, I have stripped out every thing NVIDIA I can find and OB has stopped crashing from the get-go. Only thing is that now my CursorXP Plus cursors all display BEHIND eveything OD. Visually interesting but very weird. Zubaz, I apologize big time! It's a complicated subject with some history thrown in. I have been a critic of Stardock for serveral months, even left the site in frustration. I LOVE their intent....skins are obscenely fun. I think they have provided (opened the door to) some Really Cool Stuff.
