Have you tried purge and reinstall step? As mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#reinstalling Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community Assistant
Okay, I tried this as well, being careful to include all the steps, but this issue still occurs... *BUT* I've discovered an int
Uninstall WindowBlinds, reboot, then reinstall the latest WindowBlinds build.
nae, that did not fix it... I completely re-installed after rebooting, I now have Windowblinds 11.02 (017 x64 Windows 11 Edition) dated 2023/03/22 but I still have this issue.

I'm having an odd quirk on Windows 11 with WB11... The taskbar is being drawn too wide, and date/time are being clipped... When I first installed WB11 on this machine, it was drawing just fine... but I wanted to turn off the date/time, since I display that info with a different program... so I tried a trick from an online article, where I set the date and time display to single-digit values, which supposedly make the display disappear... it *did* do that, but it also confused
What you can do is, upgrade to WB11 with a discount, since you already own WB10. Know that, your WB10 key still work for WB10. And you will get new WB11 key for WB11. Also, from what I know, WB10 designed skin should work with WB11 without any major issue. You can do a free trial WB11 just to be sure on that. Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community Assistant
Hi Basj!! So you can confirm that i

hmmm... So should I just purchase a new copy of WB11 from this same account?? And yes, I realize that the older skins may not work with WB11; that's why I wish to stick with WB10 on my WB10 system... But I *am* interested to see what will or will not work on Windows 11!!

So... I recently bought a new laptop, when my old one died. The new machine is Windows 11... however, I still have my Windows 10 desktop machine, which I do *not* plan on upgrading until I absolutely have to... So I have a dilemma... I would like to upgrade to WB11 to run on my laptop, but continue to use WB10 on my desktop... If it was only a matter of cost, I would have no problem with just buying a second copy of WB for the desktop... but the problem with that is that
And now I see that the transparency adjustments aren't saved in the skin directory, they're saved separately in C;\Users\Public\Public Documents\Stardock\WindowbBlinds\WBO\[SkinName].WBO. I don't know what else might be kept in that file. I'm going to have to go back and edit Reply 6, I don't want to leave it like that.
Ahhh... yes, I saw the separate WBO file, and didn't know what that really represented
SkinStudio works with the skin itself, the WBConfig adjustments (Color, Transparency, Textures, Saved Presets) are made in addition to that and SkinStudio doesn't package them. Backing up the skin directory would collect those as well.
Ahhh... okay, thanks... Basically, the situations that I've been dealing with, in most cases, are that the only thing I need to change with most skins is just a couple o
It sounds like you're wanting to make a .wba package out of the changed skin. In the menu in my first screenshot above, there is the command "Make wba package". I think that would do it, I've never messed with it, I just zip them up.
Part of the problem that I have here, is that I'm trying to generate a wba package from edits that I

Okay... I think I have this (partially) figured out... 1. working skins: when a .wba file is installed in WB, it is extracted into C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds\ 2. saving the project Use "File: Save As" to save the modified project under a new name 3. generate a WBA file Use "File: Make WBA Package" to generate the WBA file for the new skin... However, even though SS specifically asked me which S

Later notes: Okay, I found the SkinStudio working directory: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds All of the skins that I've modified, are represented here... however, though there are all the working files for those projects, the final .wba files is *not* there... for example, I was working on the sandstone skin alot today; the latest timestamp in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds\sandstone is 03/08/23 14:57, but the timestamp on sands

This thread started out with me discovering a 20-year-old skin that I really love!! However, I had to make a few changes in colors for certain items, to make various menus and other items readable under Windows 10 Pro, with WB10... I'm wishing to prepare a revised version of this skin, with my changes (in a SubSkin), and re-introduce this 2003 skin to the world... however, I have encountered two issues... 1. I don't know where SkinStudio 10 stored my changes?!?!&n

One interesting thing that I noticed about some of the older skins, is that some of them appear to not interact with the Start Menu at all, but leave it as it is in the system. This is of interest to me, because I use Open Shell (formerly Classic Shell) for my start menu, and WB sadly subverts its settings in many cases... but the fact that some of the older skins do *not* do this, suggest to me that possibly there is a way to use SkinStudio 10 to edit a skin and just disconnect it from

Well, I've been having a little adventure over the past couple of days... I went to the WB skins page, then jumped to the end, and started paging forward a page at a time, looking at the really old skins! I've been using WB since at least 2000, and it was cool to scroll down memory lane a bit. Of course, most of the old skins, without taskbar content, cannot be used on the desktop, but I have my console (i.e., DOS terminal) set to use different skins than the desktop (via Per

I think I asked about this years ago, and don't think there was any fix back then, but it is becoming a bigger issue for me recently because my hand is getting twitchier on the mouse!! (I'll be 70 years old this month) At *least* three or four times per day, I'll reach up to minimize a window, but will hit the edge of that "fourth button", which does that 'collapse to title bar' trick... That is *really* annoying!!!! I have *never* used that title-bar-only display, I do

Ahhhh... okay, you are correct, @basj ... sorry about that!! Nevermind, as Emily Latella would say... Heh... I can even download a copy of the WB5.5 installer!! The only one I cannot get any longer is WB3.3, though I still have my registration codes for it, dating to 2002 ...
From few skins I have, mostly my own, all skin that work on WB10 still work with WB11. With that said.
What specifically do you prefer about WB10 over 11?
Well, for one thing, unless things have changed in the past month or so, last time I asked the question: "Does WB11 support all of the existing skins that WB10 supports?? Because I have dozens of existing skins, including some older ones, and I don't want to lose support for them..." and the main response that I got (from @jafo) was: "If

If this request is the same as "cascading menues", I've been requesting that feature for many months now, but the developers do not seem to be interested in the issue at all... that has forced me to stick with Open Shell: Start Menu instead of Start11, which is unfortunate because WindowBlinds does not skin Open Start Menu...
