haven't seen Road to Perdition, either. It's good. Very good. Hanks earned a lot of respect from me for that role... very different from the typical role he picks. The kid in it is also very good, as well as Jude Law.

I used to be a big comic geek, but it's been about 12 years since I bought a book, except for the "Death of Superman", "A World Without Superman", and "The Return of Superman" trade books I ordered from Amazon a couple weeks ago. Actually it was the conversation here about the next spiderman villain that made me order those. I had never read them, and thought I'd give them a shot. Not bad. I stopped "collecting" because I couldn't afford it

If Bush = Hitler like the left is saying, then why aren't they doing something about it besides, at most, demonstrating? More telling is why are they able to say the things they say without waking up in some camp?

I love the Garden of the Gods. It's beautiful there! When I first moved here I very nearly got an apartment just down the street from the park entrance. But it would have been far from my work. So now I have a bit of a drive to get there, but of course it is worth it.

I check my page first. I look for comments and usually answer any new comments first. Odd, but I usually forget to do that, and so I may think of it in the middle of my routine. I didn't even think of including it in my routine above. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 cl

Sometimes I will go to the blog index, select a letter and then user name at random and go and check someones site....it's been interesting a couple of times. I also realise how many sites out there dont get used. That's a good policy I think. From time to time I try to scroll down far enough to see th

We saw the same reaction from liberals with the Dixie Chick event. What some people fail to understand is that while people may have the right to speak their mind, they do not have the right to speak their mind while everyone who disagrees with them shuts the hell up and offers no reaction. Offering your opinion to the public has consequences. If people don't like what you say, and you

which they could spoil with Catwoman and Green Lantern Catwoman looks pretty lame to me. I hadn't heard anything about Green Lantern. Sorry to see Singer leave the X-franchise. I think he's done a stellar job.

Sometimes I just wonder why I should spend time and energy to try and discuss topics with people when I can't get a response to anything I write, you know? I try not to write for response, although I have some articles that were designed to get people's opinions. I think if you are worried about how much pa

Aladdin was stupid for kicking her off. Not right at all. You have the right to say whatever you want. Um, not when Aladdin was paying for her to be there. That was not a protected forum.

I had never read the books before the first movie was released, but I took my three nephews to see it (they were big fans of the books) and loved it. So that Christmas (the movie was released in November if I recall correctly) my nephews presented to me the boxed set of the books (the first three at that time). They are such good little boys.

Someone was recently expressing concern about how much exposure their bog site gets on JU, and it got me thinking about how people read other blogs. I can think of a few ways for your site to get exposure 1. Your article shows up in the "Recent JoeUser Articles", and people access it from there. 2. Your article gets a comment that pushes it to th

have posted a couple of items that I thought wre really, really good, and nothing. I think everyone has encountered that. I write something that I think is entertaining and interesting, and I get zip. I copy and paste some little nothing from some e-mail I get from a friend and I get a swarm of comments.

Well, those sound like the typical things you would hear around my office. But then I work with some freaky people. The most common thing I find myself saying to my teammates, "Why do you have to be so freaking stupid? It's like working with children. Really dumb children!"

I read in a friend's Livejournal that Halle Barrie has decided that she will not sign on for X-3. She's been bitching since X-1 that she didn't like playing Storm for various reasons, the biggest being she didn't get enough to do. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 cla
