and you've been able to continue to believe in that "love" because you never had to deal with the realities of a dating relationship with her. No, I did. If you read carefully you will see that I did not date her in high school. I did date her while we were in c

Sorry to rain on your parade, CS, but if your feelings were "set in stone the moment I saw her," then that's not love, but infatuation. Perhaps. It is hard to know where infatuation might have turned into love. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote-Table

Same thing here. I thought "Oh ack, a show based on a movie. Forget it." And I only started watching a couple of seasons ago. I was the same way. It wasn't until season 4 or so that I started watching. I'm not s

CS, sorry for hijacking your thread, but I felt it needed comment. Naw that's cool. I don't mind if a discussion veers from the original direction. Besides, I certainly have no standing to criticize someone for thread hi-jacking, point whore that I am.</fo

A friend once told me about his experiences working in a bank, and the lesson about perception that he learned there. This bank employed several women as cashiers, and the bank manager would often offer these women “promotions” rather than raises. So a girl would get a title like “first assistant to the associate cashier” rather than a 3% pay increase for the year

After being told for the fourth or fifth time, " I love you like a brother", by gals that I thought I was in love with as a teenager, I decided that my felings were definitely an infatuation, not love. Oh I definately agree that much of what people think is love is just infatuation. There have been many gir

For now I'll just use mass amount of coffee! I don't drink coffee... and I don't like carbonated drinks much. Guess I'm doomed to walk this world as a sleep-deprived zombie.

I want my man to believe in what I believe Sounds pretty boring to me. If you find a mate who has all the same thoughts as you then there is little chance of either of you growing.

You fall in love with an ideal. Until you meet the person face to face you are in love with what they put out over the internet and we all know that no one shows their total personality, warts and all while on the net. I do not think that I could fall in love over

Some recent JU drama has brought to mind several topics for writing. One of those is the nature of young love. Can teenagers really fall in love? Do they have the capacity to see in one another a person worth sharing their life? These questions got me to thinking about my teen years, and my first love. Her name was Jennifer. I met her in the 7th grad

My family is not particuarly tight. My father wasn't around much when I was growing up (fighting in a war and later overseas deployments) and my mother was a real estate broker, which meant she pretty much worked 24/7. My brothers and I were left to our own devices, and so my two older brothers were the greatest influence on my development, but even that was thin. Because my family has never been close, friends have always been important to

You're my kind of misfit. And what's with stealing my title??? (just kidding) I wish more "devout" people were like you. I don't think I would be as reticent to reveal my philosophies if that were the case.

I guess it would have been more accurate for me to say that she hates anything that relates to cruelty with animals. That is interesting. That makes me wonder what it really is that she objects to. Is it the effect on the animal, or is it the morality of the act? For instance... if a wild dog

I really liked the premier. I'm still not sure about the characters, but the basic premise is rather exciting. We've gone from pagan gods to vampires, and considering the varied cultures in which those creatures appear it seems like a fitting parallel. Looks to me like the ancients that returned to Earth took with them more than just the legend of Atlantis sinking beneath the ocean.
