Plus why use it when Windowblinds is a superior product. It can do so much more than StyleXp. If you find a style you like done in StyleXP you can convert it to Windowblinds (with Skinstudio) so you can have the best of both worlds.

I never noticed that wrench either. I know it wasn't there when this current version of Wincustomize was created, but I don't recall reading a mention that it was added. Of course I usually use SDC for my skin browsing, so not that big a deal. It is interesting how media player skins seem to be falling by the wayside. Its especially ironic considering Winamp basically started the skinning community. I've never been one to change my skin

I figured to start a thread so not to hijack the WFX 3.0 release thread. I realize the taskbar preview should show on top, but it isn't. Testing an idea here though. Ummm ok that's weird. I thought I'd try something to see why it wasn't working. I thought perhaps it was due to having WMP miniplayer in the taskbar. I maximized it and things worked fine for the taskbar preview. Minimizing WMP back to the taskbar as the taskbar player didn't cha

"WindowFX 3 takes advantage of your video card to provide the effects without losing down your computer." That line is in the blurb about WFX, but I don't believe it should be "losing" Maybe closing? I like the taskbar preview, but its useless. It isn't always on top. So what's the point? Like I'm going to minimize all my programs so I can s

I've used FF for quite some time with WB and never had an issue, so I would think it is something specific to you. Perhaps even an extension not playing nice.

Seeing the movie first will have you most like not interested in reading the book. I know I'm less inclined to read a book once I have seen the movie. Sure a movie doesn't have everything from the book, but its already painted a picture for me. I prefer to paint my own, and then see what the movie made of it as well. I have read all of Dan Browns books and they are very intriguing. I found them very worth reading, and just wish Dan Brown would get

I just downloaded this yesterday and in my mind its a winner. Finally MS has made WMP what it should have been before. Its much easier to use and looks tons better. URGE seems good also but I'm not too much into downloading music like that, since I can't afford it even that way right now. Still I might do it.

Yup Sony is definitely pissing off people. They think if its got everything but the kitchen sink it will make people want it more. Then they introduce a lame limited motion controller to attempt to take away from the Wii. People see that as copycat right away. Also what does Sony have that MS doesn't already? It doesn't seem like they bring anything to the table new to gaming. <img src="http://imag

I have found WB doesn't work well on my laptop but I know better than to blame WB. I simply have too little memory to properly operate WB. Although actually the problem is more so with transparancies. I am upgrading my base memory soon so I know that will help things run much smoother. But why do people have to immediately go and blame WB for things being slow. It doesn't really require more memory to use it, unless you wish to take advantage of t

Currently being on a laptop I really don't have a need for gadgets myself. There isn't room. However I feel adding gadgets from Google and MS would only help them and not help DX. Would they in turn provide space for DX gadgets? Highly unlikely. Stardock needs to do better promoting DX and its capabilities.

Personally I can't stand Elliot. He has a good voice, but it isn't idle material that he sings. Its all boring songs that nobody knows. I'm glad Chris is gone though since I never cared for his screaming style of singing. He was better when he kept it more in check. Taylor does well in his niche, but I don't believe he has much range. Despite Katherine's tendency to pick songs not suited for her style of singing, I think she is by far the best si

Its open for all now, no invites needed btw. Overall I like it. Heck the tabs actually work for me now and they hadn't worked in ages. Also AFAIK MSN Plus is being updated to work with WLM8. In fact there was a version out there already, just not working with the most recent update.

Its really incredible what this brings to the world of gaming. There is even a little speaker in the Wii-mote controller so you can for example hear the arrow zinging from you to the screen. The wireless controller also has rumble, which was severely lacking in the Wavebird wireless controller. I think Nintendo has a hit on its hands. It also should bring in people who traditionally have stayed away from video games, and bring others back who h

I used to work at Walmart and it isn't an easy to place to work I'll give you that. There are just too many people for the amount of workers Walmart allows, that is for quality customer service. I also believe too many customers don't take the time to look for what they want properly, I know they don't have much time, but Walmart is basically self-serve. In general most items should not be that difficult to find if you use common sense (though I fin

Umm does this mean it would prevent you from changing channels as well during a commercial? Since that would mean not seeing that commercial. I think this is one idea that just won't see the light of day. I could see perhaps having a way when recorded that it would prevent you from skipping it, but even that I'm not too keen on. Its bad enough some pre-recorded DVD's require you to watch certain things.

I would agree that Diane Muldaur just didn't fit in Star Trek. She felt like she was the same character from LA Law just pretending to be a doctor. Wesley was a good character, just a bit too whiney. Overall though I haven't had a problem with the characters, just the stories. They get rather repetitive and boring in some of the TNG episodes especially. And the last couple movies weren't much better than a TV movie of the week special. Since F

Personally I don't buy based on ads, and like you Brad I skip by them more often than not. However there are times I will stop and read one. Usually though its a game I have already heard advanced information about and was already interested in. Magazines these days don't hold as much value as they used to when it comes to games because of the internet. Personally I feel the ad money would be better spent elsewhere. I think the style of the ads

I blame the parents more than the bad imagery that is out there via TV, etc. Too many parents seem blase about what their children are doing. They show little interest in their children's lives so the kids have to find other things. Parents are each working so where is the parent to provide direction for the kids? Not to mention even if the parent has time to spend with the kids, they often spend it doing something they enjoy and don't involve the

Quite interesting that some is taking the time to create not only the look but feel of XP into 3.1 territory. I remembering using an add-on for 3.1 that did quite a bit to make the interface more useful and alter parts of it. I forget its name, but no one had thought of making an XP look then as it didn't exist of course.

Well now that JU seems to be up and running steadily I have noticed something baffling. On the main page the "Top Articles" has listed the same articles since the beginning of Febrary. Its a minor thing, but its definitely not updating.
