Number 3 above I have not seen on my machine. I have sometimes seen it not show up, but that was because there was so little files there when I emptied it, it was empty before the animation could show. The animation showed properly for me so far in WB5 as well.

It only installs crap if you don't uncheck the boxes about it. I have to say that this is good. I find both IM programs to be good to use in their own way. I just wonder if they will also accept to view either others individual features. Not necessarily implement them, but that when used, you still see it on the other IM. I suppose they won't go that far though. Still I use Trillian anyway mostly, only firing up the regular IM for a specific

Good question Bichur, though typically I should think only the betas have it since it helps with fixing bugs. Though I agree it might be helpful to have it there for common problems or setting changes people can make to their PC because of some limitations with their hardware.

Did you change your email address recently? I had exactly those same errors, and I had changed email addresses. I had missed one place to change the address. Once I fixed that I was fine. Make sure you changed it in SDC under Tools... Edit Stardock.net Account and in the Register Products area. If you didn't change addresses I don't know what is wrong sorry.

Ah ok I hadn't thought to check there. You are correct. Not a big loss. Glad enough that I can take advantage as much as I can with WB5 using my on-board graphics card.

I just noticed something though when looking at screenshots. My version is missing the transparent portion of the borders of windows. It has it around the Start Menu, but not the windows. Even in the preview for the skin in WBconfig it shows it how it is on my machine but not in the screenshots from Frogboy and yourself MikeB. Any idea why that is?

Agreed that it needs to be in moderation. I can think though that there will be some awesome designs coming for start menus and taskbars that think outside the box more since they can, which still being useful.

I figured I add a post to help this get to 100. I have a subscription and I think its worth it. Currently money has been tight or I'd offer to sponsor someone as well. Great idea though for community spirit as well.

I just tried with Aura to see what spot is talking about and its true. I set my taskbar to auto-hide and always on top. I put a window where the taskbar would be. When I made the taskbar appear I couldn't see the windows titlebar behind the taskbar (I have my bar at the top of the screen). So it appears it is not see-through exactly. Not that is a problem for me. I do see proper transparency in other areas where its used, like the Start Menu

Yes that is true, thanks Night Train for making a thread on it. We should be able to thank Mike for the great work that went into the skin. Its nice and smooth and has subtle transparency. The only minor quip I have is the white text on the titlebars. The shadow helps them stand out some, but not enough. Maybe I should try fiddling with SKS. Still doesn't diminish this skin much, its excellent work.

Its basically what it says. Its a wharf type toolbar that has tabs for separate pages of programs. It can be done vertically or horizonatally. Personally I never liked it very much. It is too limited. I prefer ObjectdockPlus, you can do more with it as well as what tab launchpad has in it. So check that out. If you have Objectdesktop though you can check it out easily by just downloading it and trying it.

I know he should check himself into a place that helps addicts or something. Of course this kind of thing happens a lot even with people making far less. They have a tough time just saying no and need help, but they don't seek it.

You can add skins in the WB Config dialog. I didn't notice it at first either, since it has the options for color changing and applying the skin. Its right inside the screenshot! Its so practical that it is easy to miss. I'm not sure why its not in Display Properties, but they did say it wasn't using wbload.exe really now except for installing skins, so that could be why.

Strange. At first it sounded like you don't have it set to show beta/pre-releases, but you say it prompted you about updating WB. If in the program list it only shows 4.6 I would check your settings for betas showing. For me WB shows at the very top because I sort by order of date. WB5 is listed separately from WB4.

It is strange how the American companies keep thinking bigger is better. Sure they sell, but they didn't learn anything from the 70's. They were too late trying to catch up then and too late as well again. I know gas was somewhat plentiful til recently, but still I think some just buy the big ugly trucks for status. I guess if they want to pay the price that is their problem. However American companies aren't trying enough to produce a good car wi

Custom color is slightly hard to find true. I didn't see a tooltip either. Its a little icon in the lower left on the skin view section of WBconfig. The other button I wasn't sure what it was either, but it seems to go back to the skin you had previously selected or are currently using. I had no trouble installing WB5, though I did unload WB before starting install, which may have helped I don't know, just basing it on previous messages.

you can email [email protected] with any issues like that. However there are places in SDC to change your email as well. Under Tools....Edit Stardock.net account and also Register Products.. Make sure the email addies there are correct. Also make sure you have gone into "My Account" at Wincustomize.com and goto account information, put in your old login info, and click on "Logon Info" and you'll have an option to change your email address an

Once you get used to changing windows using WB its tough to go back to plain old XP. I love being able to have a different look when I choose, as the default look is awful. Most skins are not too odd that you have to adjust how you use your computer, in fact many help make it easier to use. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardock Cen

Used my idea of showing screenshots of the browser Well maybe it was his owns as well. Anyway I was originally skeptical of buying into it when I first came here. Sure I was a registered user, but I didn't subscribe at first. I thought what is the big deal about a skin browser and a couple of free premium skins. It wasn't until I saw screenshots that I gave it a
