The only way to change the icon in the taskbar is with a resource hack. The adjustability is only for the system tray and the icons for files associated with winamp.

I'm not a big fan of Sony. They try to get their proprietary stuff everywhere, yet interestingly enough rarely succeed fully. So I go with HD-DVD.
I am surprised no one else has commented so far on the improved look of the WB config window. It is different and it looks like it will give a far better view of the skin. The current view has always been too limiting, not allowing the ability to get a glimpse of features of a skin. Definitely a version to get excited about. Someone mentioned it should come with a Vista skin look-alike and it won't I'm sure. Stardock won't package a skin like
The bottom line is that as long as people can get enough out of the site without paying anything, they will. It is not limiting enough. Once people have to pay, then they either leave or they pay. Its nice being one of the more popular websites but if you can't sustain it financially is it benefiting you or hurting you. It sounds like you aren't reaping the benefits. Perhaps you need better marketing as well. The message is not getting
Now I could be wrong, but this brings up an idea of mine. Now I could be wrong, but I don't recall there being any screenshots of the skin browser before I signed up for Wincustomize. That might be different now I don't know. It would seem to me though that might be more helpful in the decision making process. Descriptions are nice, but as Laoran discovered, seeing it really made a difference. I love using SDC to do it all. Only going to the
I originally used just WB which I had discovered by visiting the skinz.org site when I got interested in Winamp's skinning. Then Wincustomize.com came along and I planted myself here. I still only used WB but had interest in other programs. However WB wasn't always stable on Win98 so I just kept with it. However once XP hit the scene, things were so stable I was impressed. I decided I now had a machine that could support what OD had to offer
Yup can't find the article. I find a link in the articles at your page, but it doesn't work.
Have you checked out www.desktopgadgets.com ? That is where most gadgets will be going now. Although I don't know if there is anything there specifically for what you want right now.
Makes sense then how Frogboy describes it that the artist submits the different types for the different application. I agree that part of the problem is you can get flooded with new releases of icons in the gallery. One reason I am happy to have the Skin Browser in SDC, I can filter out the ones I don't want to see in the new listing. They are still there, just I have go find them if I need them in the main list. <a href="../reso
One suggestion would be to only make the subscription yearly from now on. Its quite generous being at two years. Of course that does put more burdon on those who already contribute in general. Another idea is to limit even more what people get for "free" here. Probably downloads. Or maybe have each download be prefaced with an ad explaining the benefits of a subscription before continuing with the download. Another idea would be to
Upgrades are always free within the same main release number. So all upgrades witin the 4.x release version numbers are free to those who purchased WB. It is customary for Stardock and some other software vendors to provide a free upgrade to those who purchased so close to a new version as they would not be able to take advantage of free upgrades otherwise. It makes perfect sense that if they only had it a month that they can get the new version for
A skin was just released that uses transparency in the titlebars and borders. VistaR2 Blizz. Though I guess the implementation in WB5 is far better. Still I didn't think it was possible and then this skin comes along. However still like what WB5 has in store.
Maxthon uses IE as its base, how can it not work with IE based sites? That is odd.
That show was excellent and I don't think is as well regarded as it should be by some. He will be missed. Now who will voice Inspector Gadget hehe.
I wish I could listen to these, but being on dailup the downloads take forever. Maybe I don't understand podcasting enough, but it seems to me something that streams would be more useful.
Probably a matter of time before someone creates one. Other sidebars do exist just not in the vista style. I haven't seen much going on with Objectbar releases lately though, part of that probably due to its continual beta status for the last several months at least.
But I've been a member since close to when they opened the doors, #129 .... I suppose without any explaination from the powers that be, we can only guess.
As long as you build a quality product and have integrity as a company you will continue to survive and make a profit. Those people who complain and whine also don't realize that if software was not able to be re-worked and improved upon we wouldn't have innovation. The sincerest form of flattery is imitation. Although when it comes to MS, there are occasions where their "ideas" seem to be an attempt to take over a marketplace rather than infu
Great! another reason to realize I'm getting old! hehe. I was wondering why #1 Yearling, what would #2 be, etc? (no smart aleck responses lol)
I thought that's what the Start/Pause button was for, or at least one use. In case you have to do something else for a moment. Half the time if someone is talking to me I have to hit pause or I can't carry on the conversation and play the game at the same time. I feel this is a non-issue and not because I'm not deaf. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCu
Certainly would be more willing to use it now that its free and has no ads. Those ads were a big turnoff. However i'm comfortable with FF so really don't see a reason to change. I haven't tried Opera in since like version 5 or 6, somewhere in there, yet I just never liked the interface. I know its been changed, I still don't see the point in switching. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/ico
So? There is no such thing as a firefox either lol.
I can't understand how someone can be so limited in their vocabulary to call a new controller "gay". You haven't even had a chance to try it out yet. I was upset at first with it, til I read more about it and saw the video. I think it truly is a revolution. As humans we are sometimes ignorant of change, but I welcome it. Its only through experiment and trying out new ideas we can grow. Also I don't understand at all the person saying it
Trillian should be first, but apparently Cerulean Studios isn't willing to cooperate. Firefox didn't do well here and I don't see Maxthon doing well either. Personally I don't change my skins very often except for WB. Even the old Neoplanet I didn't change much and it was a highly touted skinnable browser back a couple years. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Pos
I believe the question was in regard to getting Vista when it was publicly available. In general the majority of people I believe simply install over an existing version of Windows. However if you are able to do it, it is better to make backups and re-format and do a clean install of the new OS. Alternatively you can install Vista in its own partition. As mentioned above you can get a program like Partition Magic that helps make it easier to pa
