They need to improve the AI. Also, you can really see how Stardock's threaded coding helps a game run better. FE can run smoothly on my old laptop, Civ V really churns. Too late for them to put that in though.

I don't know what you have planned for LH, but I am going to list all 10 factions, what I'd change, as a rough idea. Altar: I don't play them all that much, the whole henchmen thing turns me off, they just scream OP. Henchmen: I'd make them a spawn, with a cap of the number of 5th lvl heroes you have. You get one, they perma-die, but a new lvl 1 henchmen gets spawned a short time after, random chance each turn

Call the landlord or an electrician WiFi problems? New computer or repair it. Yeah I know I sound like Captain Obvious but I really am surprised over the crappy internet you have in the states and the power outages. So please explain. I&#
This is the limitation of today's computers and likely wont change. We are using a giant calculator to play a game. Without random factors and die rolls if the AI where designed to choose the correct action every single time it would be completely predictable and no fun. Also players are able to come up with new strategies through trial and error. The AI without random elements will always do one thing which is whatever the best log

The cruel and pacifist traits should give a benefit and a malus. Attackers should be able to retreat at any time, at a fame cost, and retreat should never be allowed when militia is out (the city is under siege) You'd need retreat added to quick battle, which is why I think this is unfeasible without some higher-end design decisions, maybe in the next expansion since we know we're getting it now. (Brad blurted it out this weekend)</p
Frogboy, you appear to be truly terrible at this game. You seem to be able to eek out any tactical disadvantage available in the combat, eg skipping turns for units that can attack (ophidian, one of your heroes with a ranged staff), while not leaving them somewhere out of range of being attacked back. Or casting curse on wolves that have no defense. If that actually does something useful, I have no idea what it is.

Add to this that the FE AI also does a poor job of leveling heroes and fighting wars and you get a game which has increasingly frustrated me to the point where I don't play it any more. Then don't. I can tell you right now, I won't be writing another line of AI code for FE. &n
Well anything else is going to take a lot of work. So if Im going to do that I'd want something better tha the 5 turn thibe.
suggestion: How about you decide to raze at any time, but razing immobilizes your army for a period of time, based on a factor of number of units in army/city level * number of improvements in city. Catapults allow for 1 turn insta-raz

1) Please go that Civ 5 route and force you to do something. (around 16.5 min mark) 2) Do monuments no longer expand ZoC of cities? Was getting mad you didn't use that. (31 min) 3) I really want to see a race that is vuln fire resist cold. ( a retooled urxen)

If there is a cheat- it's probably either they don't suffer xp penalties from stacking champs (has this been tested?) or related to the fact that quests for the AI are a diceroll instead of actually doing the quest. (I'd like to see this changed- never liked humans/AIs playing under different rules)

The real issue is that education, housing, and insurance are massively overpriced (maybe not insurance, but the first two definitely) The issue with housing is largely due to tax gamification The issue with education is that the value of it has gone down heavily, while costs have skyrocketed. Market forces would fix it if it wasn't for student loans being undischargable in bankruptcy + overseas education having more subsidy.
Frogboy said in a recent post that network code specialists are sparse and they are looking to recruit so they can do FE in co-op. But apparently there are not many network code specialists around at the moment (or willing to move to Michigan ).
One idea- unsure if it would help, but look at GGPO. I wonder if that could be translated from fighting games to other genres. It would be cheap net
