I love the song (and Donnie Darko, the movie that featured it and where the song REALLY fit). I was disappointed when I saw it used for the GoW commercial. I have no idea if the game is any good, but it has spoiled the song a bit for me. Hopefully my memory of the commercial will fade, and I can go back to enjoying the song.

I'd love to do a MOO 4. It would basically be MOO 2 with some elements from MOO 1 with a big graphics update, more streamlined multiplayer options (along the lines of Civ IV) and a campaign mode to reintroduce players to the mythos that Simtex created. <

I guess EA and MS are examples of what happens when suits run game development companies. I'm sure many of the people making the decisions don't even play games period, let alone the games their company is making. It's all just numbers on a spreadsheet to them, trying to make quarterly deadlines to satisfy shareholders, doing market research to determine how to make the game appeal to as many potential customers as possible, and so on. That's a great recipe for a mediocre game. Sad. <br/

Hmm, you guys should try Firefox 2.0. It has a built-in spellchecker which operates automatically on anything you type. No need to push any buttons or anything. (Amusingly, its spellchecker just complained about "spellchecker" - but I'm not fixing it!)

The problem with MP is that it can make it difficult to add new features to the game. If the proposed feature is perceived to be even slightly unbalancing in MP, then the vocal masses will often scream bloody murder. When it comes to a SP game, balance is less of an issue.
