I have been thing the same thing for awhile now. I used to struggle with a definition when people would ask me what religion I was. I am not familiar with the Luke 18 story and will have to read it myself to make an evaluation but the idea that faith is personal and religion is about community is very true. I am learning that when G-d says he is going to come for his people he is referring to Israel he was not meaning the physical but the spiritual.

I agree about cats good, dogs bad. I don't like the idea of having pets inside my house. If they pee on the carpet it is absorbed and there forever no matter how many times you clean, shampoo, scrub, etc... and every humid day you get a fresh reminder about what took place there.
