But when you try to walk beyond the realm of myth and into the realm of science where there's people who haven't been fed religious dogma of one type or another for years, you're going to run into people who are going to find your arguments uncompelling. Help me understand where you are coming from. Sc

Hey Draginol, I agree with you it is not objective evidence. But why does the Bible receive so much credibility then? It's has wisdom about many different situations and dealing with them. Whether financial, relationships, or interaction with others. This isn't something that someone just came up with this has been proven over thousands of years. The other place the Bible gains most of it's credibility is it's historical records. There a

I know that we are told to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Jerusalem in hebrew literally translates to 'city of peace.' I was just expressing my frustration. Praying for peace is one thing but when other countries who are meddling with Israel and what is going on just irks me. Sorry, I'm gonna vent for a bit. The US has so many problems of it's own what gives us the right to be meddling in their business. I do agree that we should support Israel

In this article I want to provide a different perspective that you may not have heard before regarding the Law. I am going to use an analogy I heard and have expanded upon. Many of us drive an automobile of some sort. We all are aware of the laws that exist when driving on the road (ie speed limits, stop signs, right of ways, etc). There are two ways to loo

of course you don't really believe there will be peace until the Prince of Peace comes back now do you? This is where I am torn. I agree that we should at least be making efforts of peace but I know that Scripture says that there will not be peace until HIS return. Sometimes I think our efforts are f

Hey RW, First I commend you on stating what you believe. That shows more conviction than many Christians I know. I have dabbled in Evolution myself. In fact I agree with several things such as "Survival of the fittest" and such things. I see them with my own eyes. But I disagree with alot of Evolution too. But I don't throw the baby out with the bath water. There are somethings that are worth keeping. It pleases me to hear that

Dr. Guy, I agree with you. From what I have read and understand of the Quran and of Mohammed's life. There are things that don't line up in Islam. I would take it a step further saying that you can drive Earth Movers through them. By having some holes do you think that helps to reduce arrogancy? Leaving more to faith? cacto- Do a little research into Mohammed. I am willing to bet there will be MANY things that

What is your definition of anti-semetic? While I have heard MLuther was anti-semetic I know of no such truth behind the rumor. KFC, I have heard this too and looked into this a while back. There are different articles ( I have no way a proving their truth) that show him being anti-semetic. Do

Proving G-D exists is like proving wind exists. You cannot see it. You cannot touch it. Wind is not tangible. but you can see the effects of it.

I follow the Jewish faith according to what I find Biblically. I also believe that Jesus is the Servant Messiah mentioned in scripture. Stutefish, I agree with you and I disagree with you all in the same sentence I don't see them wondering about the basic theology but they were not clear on how things changed now with the Messiah come and a significant prophecy fulfilled. Which I think is wha

Heather, Just do some digging into history. Probably the best way to start is to hit up Google. There are so many ways that they have put together this year. I wish I could give you a simple answer but unfortunately it doesn't exist. A Scythian monk called Denis the Short is one who is attributed the credit of our AD dating system. Where it gets confusing is throughout the years there have been many modifications to the calendar that we h

I felt it necesary to correct you in your comment when you stated "our" in regard to G~d. This is not plural. Deut 6:4 makes a point of both. so both are correct? Remember one can mean a unit. If I have a (singular) unit of soldiers (say 20 people). It is one unit but also plural. Your arguments isn't going anywhere. One G-D as in Deut 6:4

I think there are 'SOME' literal aspects of it which parallel with the spiritual aspects. Unfortunately context and full understanding has been neglected but I feel are much more important. Jesus showed that when talking about eye for eye and tooth for tooth. Yet many people use it still today for justification of capital punishment. Read the scriptures from OT that surround that verse you will find it is not talking about vengence! The

Sorry for the delay in reply. It's been busy here. Will try to answer your Q and then I have a Q for you. When I refer to G-D I am refering to the Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey (YHVH the name that cannot be pronounced). Yes, I could put an o in with it but that doesn't set it apart now does it? The main reason is I feel that many use the name of god so loosely. For me it is a way to set it apart and make it different. In my heart it gives comp

My point isn't just about the law. It's to debunk replacement theology that everything changed 180 degrees. That G-D's fundamental principles and when he said, "forever or throughout your generations" remains the same. Jesus added to what already existed not 'taking away' from the OT Covenants. It isn't just my point it is what I find in the scriptures. I see them more as G-D's point not mine. I don't want to rant and rave about my opinion that i

Shadow, Thank you for writing this. I felt the exact same way. Unfortunately, there are some wishy washy Americans. It happens. There is a quote that comes to mind. 'Crap or get OFF the pot.' Or the song by Aaron Tippin, "You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything!" Just my two cents. But I agree with ya and you are NOT a dumb American (or makes us both dumb Americans?). Adventure Dude
