Here's my 2 cents worth, and I know A LOT of people will disagree... Firefox is going to be just a passing fad... It's a nice browser and all but it just doesn't work with some key apps. ( I have a helpdesk application which features a web interface for clients to submit support tickets. Won't work with Firefox. Nor windows update. Right now, it's very popular because it is fresh and new. Remember, with that rising popularity comes a p

Before all of you anti-microsoft types get your panties in a bunch.. look over this article carefully. Point 1 - The article claims that MS pulled the product.. FALSE, i just downloaded it again from MS. Point 2 - Do you really think a MS representative is going to publicly respond to an accusation with the words "Tough Shit".. I don't think so. It appears to me that this site is either just a joke or a forum to spread false statements.
I would rather gouge out my eyes with blunt rusty nails than give TGT Soft one red cent.
That would be DogmaX by brewman.. Link
FYI, I DID reboot immediately after installing the application, and did not see anything. Only upon deeper investigation did I realize that this is not an application which readily jumps out at you. Before anyone else says "I don't see anything", like I did.. try this. Open notepad (or a web site for that matter will do), click "file", "save as". Bam.. you will see then what the application is all about. Or try file.. open.. browse..
nothing here either..
yeah.. latest beta... I just uninstalled it, unchecked the show pre release versions, and installed the non-beta. Works okay now
Also.. sorry.. I posted this in the wrong area. Should have been in Stardock support area...
Just curious as I don't have access to the chat area right now. Will a fixed version of SS be released today? The latest build does not show the start button in the preview window. I have also been informed that some other key items are missing as well. Would like to work on a WB theme this weekend and that's kind of hard to do at the present.
i got em by the balls and if they expell me, i just drop out and go USAF Ohhh that sound so intelligent. No, you don't have them by the balls.. they have you. It's because of people like you that we have so many dam computer problems in the world. You can't follow the rules and use the system
STEEEEEEE-RIKE! I stand corrected
You know, I cant help but wonder.. If vandals (who have contracting experience ) knock holes in your roof ( by having contracting experience they know where the weak points are ), would you slam the contractor himself? I still think linux and firefox are built very nicely, but they just aren't as popular "roofs" as Windows and IE, therefore the vandals just haven't gotten around to them as much yet. As I said in another thread, it is pai
Good advise.. but to back up my 120gig "achived files drive" would take a heap of CD's. It's always a good practice to have as many hard drives as your system allows. If my second hard drive were to fail.. omg... the sobbing would be intense, but I don't have any other options.
Umm.. yeah, this creates the compact start menu, but ... my normal menu is now also compact... After fiddling.. if i specify a Prefix name in the box then the choice of sub styles works properly
this guy sounds like a complete idiot. Perhaps he and Michael Moore are lovers?
I grabbed this earlier today and ran some brief tests. So far so good. I had just scanned yesterday with Adaware and spybot so it was no suprise that it didn't find anything. Interesting though that it did cast an evil eye at Dameware. It gave a good explanation of what it thought and gave me clear options on what to do with it. Time will tell.
Cygnus.. At work, I make a network bootable ghost CD which maps a network share. I then create a pristine system, run sysprep, boot from the ghost cd and create an image which is saved to the network share. Re-imaging a new system is sooooo smooth. Don't have quite the resources to do that at home yet...
Painful indeed.. We just last year lost one that lived for 18 years.. (I only knew him for 5 but my girlfriend had him for the entire 18)
Very informative and glassy.. er.. I mean "Classy". Great Job!! Thanks!
You are correct Snarph, and I for one think this user should be exhiled for the "shoot you dead" comment alone.
A project I'm currently working on..
I find that most often the fastest method of troubleshooting a serious issue is to reformat and reinstall. Much less time consuming.. However, those occasions have been far less frequent with the advent of XP.
Ditto... and may you live to see your second 100 year!!
alt-printscreen will grab just the item that has focus.. this can be really handy
