Animals are pretty dumb. You're just projecting. Of course that would make you an animal abuser. Oh, yeah.. evil.. blah... blah..

Pilgrim, you're short-selling the books. They helped me through puberty. I can put about 50% of my sure fire sexual techniques down to them. Okay, I only have 2 but you get the point... In related news porn let me down badly. You try some of that stuff and you are gonna get LAUGHED at.
But compare the price being charged by Fed Ex or DHL and the Post Office looks cheap. I couldn't believe this article when I first read it, coming from a background in the UK where a stamp already costs about half a dollar (with the current unforgiving exchange rate) and the UK could fit into the Grand Canyon, without anyone noticing... Oh, and that whole rape anaolgy is forgiveless.
So.... how's HL2 running for you?
I played a neutral dark elf female in EQ (can't remember which god I had to pray to) specifically to do the Stein Of Moggok quest. Most of the time I ran everywhere with nothing in my inventory, including clothes. Worked wonders for getting help.
Hey, I just thought, are you playing a female avatar?
I've a friend who gradually talked himself into an internet "love affair" with an American lady. They met through an AOL chat room and ended up making all sorts of plans to meet etc. (we're in Ireland). Now, I thought this was pretty sad at the time but it continued his trend for "dating" older women with kids so whatever.... each to his own. Now, I didn't mind when she started phoning me to find out where he was, why he wasn't answering his phone etc
The European Final Beta is scheduled to begin in December is all it says on their website. The official launch is scheduled for the beginning of February. I'm convinced they'll underestimate demand in Europe and it'll be even worse at launch than in the US. But I was there in the first days of Anarchy Online so I've already earned my stripes. Alternatively I suppose you could look at the pre-order push as a way to gauge enthusiasm. Take the pr
I just checked and the UK online partner is Gameplay who want ukp29.99 for the pre-order. Play.com wants ukp24.99 but no beta code... The special pre-order also gets you an EP with the some WOW music on it. I can really see that pushing Eminem off my stereo. I'd prefer to mix it on the US servers too but anything that involves faking addresses and buying game cards doesn't appeal to me. And theoretically it'll make it easier to find groups if
(hey, are you the Instant off Blues forums?) The European Open Beta for WOW should start December/January since they're saying you have to pre-order from today to get into it. If you're sure you want to play WOW then pre-order and off you go in a few weeks into the open beta. (for free, still). Obviously check the fine print on the European site first. I haven't checked the details to see which retailers are participating. Unreal 2? T
Copy Protection is only designed to stop casual copying by less technical users. As the tools become more user friendly and the users become more technical copy protection as it exists now really will be pointless. Even HL2 has had a Steam-free fix released. I pay for my games (far too many games) but have rarely been disappointed because I read reviews and use demos. (The most bizarre incident I had lately was Chrome, which wouldn't run if Zonealarm w
My range runs from healthy looking thin up to somewhere a bit below has-difficulty-moving. But it's flexible. Or to put it another way I'm a guy and not that fussy. Half the western world is overweight and people have to hook up with someone so in general they'll settle for whoever puts up with them. I have a friend who obssessed about thin women (and I quote, he liked a girl with a "stripped down racing chassis".) I never saw him go out with anyone wh
Father Mulcahy from M*A*S*H would make a good Presidential candidate for the Democrats next time. Just saying... I watched a show last night on the BBC that suggests Al Qaeda never existed as a global terror threat until the US security re-invented it after the 9/11. I'm not sure how to take it but some of the so-called Security Experts opinions were laughable. They had a tourist tape showing queues at Disneyland and young guys jumping up and
I think I read either on the GalCiv forum or in the unoffical strategy guide that the computer players do know where the yellow stars are. It was part of a discussion on the differences between the AI settings. And yeah, it was naughty to hijack the thread. Sorry! The exposure The Political Machine (about the only game in the TG lineup I have no interest in trying) has been getting has probably been keeping Stardock busy too.
What 4D said IS close to the truth. My frustration with Gal Civ lies in the inequality between me and the computer players, the lack of options and the role of luck. The computer players know right at the start where all the yellow stars are and head there like homing missiles. If I roll a random universe (which would be my preference) I'd like to think I have as much chance as the next guy to stumble across the good planets. I've played a g
Pop acts actually singing live in concert started to die a death when over the top dance routines became the norm - it's just not easy to leap about a stage while singing. At the end of the day does it matter so long as it isn't obvious and the fans get a decent show? Granted, I've no idea who Ashlee Simpson is but I'm assuming she's not the type to just stand in front of the mike and sing her heart out like a lot of the soft jazz acts we're getting no
I'm happy with my value for money out of my sub after 4 months or so but they did promise a game a month until December. Gal Civ has been a frustrating experience for me. I'm a longtime Space Empires IV player, and before that Stars! What I'd like to see is something like either of those games with the GC AI and diplomacy.
Technically yes.
Hmmm, I just checked my boxes and Bioware gets a credit on both but I'll concede your point that they licensed the engine rather than actually developed the games for Bioware. See the trouble you've caused Amitty? Do you?
This whole post is just inaccurate. THere's no way that creating an artificial shortage is going to maximise your sales. It may lead to hype but there were thousands of hardcore consolers who wanted to hand over their money for a PS2 and just COULDN'T. Black Isle published and helped out with some sound and artwork on Baldur's Gate. They also developed Planescape and Icewind Dale for Bioware but they had nothing to do with NWN. As for Half Life 2 - Val
I loved Divine Divinity but gave up on BD about two thirds in. It was a real grind....and not in a good way!
Missing: is more of a puzzler than a strict adventure game. The UK PC Gamer gave it a score around 80 IIRC. Don't buy it thinking it's a point and clicker though. It's like the 7th Guest with a bit of googling and "hacking" thrown in. If you liked wargames try Silent Storm - there's a demo to let you try it first. Turn Based WWII squad based RPG thingy... very cool engine.
In Memoriam (I think it has a different name in America) is very very much in the vein of the 7th Guest. Ah, I looked it up, it's possibly known as "Missing:Since January" in the US. It may be known as "Missing:", since January. . Think 7th guest style puzzles, some of which involve hunting for clues on the internet. The only downside is that as the game became more popular it got harder and harder to avoid spoilers when doing the web searches f
My copy of that Time has an interview with the acting Iraqi Prime MInister. I can't even log into Time.com because I'm a non-US or Canadian subscriber (and I am a subscriber, just a European one). Just what the hell did they say in their review that they're trying to keep from the rest of the world? This runs deep, I can feel it in my bones...
Stardock haven't let us down yet so I'm sure that come September I won't be disappointed.
