I just wish my wife would plant stuff that is native to this area, so I would not have to move them into our "greenhouse" (garage) over the winter. What is native to your area? I planted the vegies I love, and did it without even knowing where to start! NOW I understand the mistakes i made... Ya those "metaphors" are

It's nice to see things that you plant grow. My little window garden of plants are doing so well now! What have you got growing Serenity? I've never tried growing herbs and such. Mahjong in one of my older sisters' favorite games, I haven't tried it yet cause it looks soooo hard! Ya my son is good to me <img src=".
Good article Serenity, I think each and everyone of us could do better at being kind instead of verbally beating each other up. I think it takes a mature person to know something and just "walk away silently" ( so to speak) instead of making cutting remarks about any given situation.
My son and I have been playing "Pool" and another game that's like Scrabble, called "Literati" I think. We play them online and this concept is totally new to me! Being tech challenged I lost almost every single game until just this week, then one night, shortly after my blog about inmates and their meals, somehow I managed to win 7 or 8 games in a row! Gosh dang it, he
Reply By: danielostPosted: Saturday, September 08, 2007 so what a lot of you feel good people are saying is they should be feed steak and eggs instead. 1 who's going to pay for it. 2 where is the insentive to stay out of jail. did you know a lot of homeless will get themselves thrown in jail in the winter so they wont freeze. </TAB
When you make that statement, it is an outright lie. I have plenty of compassion for people. I just don't feel the need to prove it to the likes of you by trotting out my resume. Got it? I don't have to lie, and the "likes of me?" then why bother coming onto my blog? get lost. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" al
Reply By: Gideon MacLeishPosted: Saturday, September 08, 2007 And I'll tell you what REALLY set me off, Trudy, was the statement that inmates deserve to be murdered in prison. That you would consider the cold blooded murder of some 18 year old purse snatcher acceptable is so far beyond appalling it's not even funny! My statement WAS: Quite
THIS blog isn't about people receiving welfare, not about disabled people, seniors, poor, homeless people, nor even about the INNOCENTS that are wrongly arrested and sitting in jail. For the sake of clarity, to those that are too quick to jump the gun and point fingers, it's about the misfits in life that are in jail, that are STILL innocent until proven guilty, EVEN though they have a rap sheet a mile long. After
[ That was an either/or statement. Either a) you didn't understand (which is what you claim) or b) you live in an alternate reality (which would mean that you understood what I said but didn't believe it). Reply By: Karm
I used two swear words, trudy, and in a proper context. And as for "condemning you and your thoughts and bringing up old history", well, frankly, Trudy, I haven't even approached the type of response you'd get on most forums, so, frankly, if it's too much for you, online forums are possibly not the best place for you. What difference does it m
Nothing wrong with having an opinion, but it would be nice to have an INFORMED one. I was speaking to Karma, not you. You're rather rude to jump in and get into another's business aren't you? If Karma wishes to reply, she knows how do that. My opinion IS informed Gid, I stated what was in the article.&nb
Reply By: Tova7Posted: Friday, September 07, 2007 I don't know how it is in Mn...but when I worked at the PD in Texas....someone with an over due library book would eventually (if not taken care of) have a warrant issued for theft. So if a cop pulled them over and the library book warrant was active...they went to jail. Also, some people can't afford certain f
BULLSHIT, Trudy. Child molestors don't get sentenced to county lockup and you KNOW It! Nope, I DIDN't know that!! If a molester is arrested by a cop or sheriff, where would they take them then? if not the local county jail. Especially in a small town. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=c
They payment is lock-up not starvation or punishment by eating only bologna They're NOT starving Charles!! They're getting 2700 calories a day, to sit! Did you READ the article even??? THIS is what aggravates me, people that don't BOTHER to read the facts! Punishment? eating bologna?? One m
You didn't understand, or you are living in an alternate reality I DIDN"T understand that part where that's ALL they'd get. The second part of that sentence is uncalled for rudeness. It's one thing to participate in a forum, another to be rude, which I acknowledge I've myself been guilty of, however I

"these low lifes are doing- stealing copper from wherever they can. First it started with abandoned homes, then it moved to utility lines (like phone lines) then they started pulling wires out of vacant homes (like those up for sale) now they are ripping apart COMMERCIAL a/c units. So, for the few hundred bucks they score in copper, the business owner (or their insurance) has to pay $5,000+ to get a/c back" This "crap" was going on in St. Paul, MN. in the mid 80's too
Hopefully he will see and read this and give you some tips. That sure would be swell, seems like a lot of the old crowd is MIA....some I miss whole bunches! <TD class
