Is it finally cooler where you are now? it cooled off here, thank God! Have you seen that movie with Debbie Reynolds and Albert Brooks called "Mother"? I think it's funny. Have a good trip home Mason.

Have I withheld sex because my spouse withheld the truth from me? Yep. Would I do that again? NOPE! Two wrongs don't make a right and can only serve to further mess up a relationship. Better to work at communication, honestly, than to "pick up one's marbles" and go home, so to speak. For me, it took many years to learn that lesson. Sometimes, not always though, a person will

Glad you're ok after that fall. You definitely would need runners with rubber/non-trip backings on them if you like using them. Thanks serenity the runners got rolled up until winter, then will tape them down! The thieves haven't been back, guess they were members of a resident's family! They took the sign, "community garden" a little tooooooo literal

I'm getting real used to the CPAP, the funny looking harness I wear on my head at night. It's attached to a mask, and that to a machine. I know other JUsers are probably familiar with this and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I truly feel a world of difference from using it. The other night I didn't use it and was groggy all day, and out of sorts. I'm sure

Saturday my son and I trundled on into Wal-Mart for groceries, for me, and I decided that I was going to get myself a decent camera. My Canon sure shot isn't a sure thing anymore. Half the time that Canon doesn't work, sometimes the date goes back to the year of the camera, necessitating changing the date again, and sometimes it tells me it needs a new battery after it's already got a new one i

You are really taking good care of your health, I'd be willing to bet that it's genetics High cholesterol runs in my family, and they had everything else against them! Back in those days though folks didn't do what Americans try to do now. There is a medicine called Niaspan, which i have, however haven't been taking...it's for making the good cholesterol higher. Good luck an

Insurance sure is cheap where you live! I live in MN and was only paying $33.0 a month for the minimum coverage, this was only 4 years ago too. I haven't had renters insurance, like Karma did, so don't know what that goes for Also the rent tends to be cheaper the more isolated the area one lives in, at leas

fascinating Karma, I too used to live on $7.20 an hour, back in 91 before I got sick. It supported my son and myself. Yes it was tight, especially since his meds were $60.00 a month! Some days I had to hitchhike to work, as there wasn't enuf left over for gas for the car. I pulled 12 hour shifts at the bus company, I can't imagine trying to live on that today, even with no extras, and just myself....

Loved the post. It seems so simple, just choose how to live one's life. A cajillion memories, teachings, experiences can all just jump in and it's too easy to become angry, or hurt about a situation. It was good to read this, it's much like a book I've read parts of. Insightful.

Next pint I will ask be donated for the victims of this tragedy. You were all I thought of when the Red Cross got on the air, local tv channels, and asked for blood, that's the impact your donation, and others here too, have had on me. Before coming to JU 3 years ago this month, blood donors

I"d just finished up an email to a dear friend, shut the computer down cause it was thundering, and lightening was streaking around..... and then turned on the tv and of course was shocked and sickened to see the 35W bridge bent in half, like a deck of cards, with cars crossways from each other, cars in the Missisippi River, half in and half out of the water, like a scene out of a bad movie. <FONT color=#9

My cousin's daughter is close to death, from cancer. She has three children. It started out as a simple case of a "little cancer" in her finger and now she's lost her arm and it's infiltrated her body. This is what I hate about life. It isn't right that a sweet, beautiful, and otherwise healthy young person have this happen to them. The family is going to stay with the grandparents, my cousin and his wife, and then the k

When someone has taken time out of their busy life to comment on my blog, I think it's only considerate to reply to that comment. Some comments truly don't need a response, yet a brief "thanks for dropping in" is best I think. I have a sister that never replies to all the comments she gets on her blog, yet she has a huge following. I don't know about that, I don't understand that behavior. I think most of would agree it's pleasant to
