It is a shortcut, the right click context menu in Objectdock has the same options as right clicking the folder in windows itself. Delete is one of them, it is for the source folder. Easiest way to get rid of a shortcut is just drag it off the dock.

In SKS 7, change skin colours, from drop down select show me the skin defined system colours, it is Window text colour. Note this will change text colour on all windows and dialogs.
Your profile show you as a current customer, What Stardock apps have you purchased. That splash is for the free version of DesktopX. If you have purchased full version, unistall free then install full.
I believe you need to change these with SkinStudio, since the, for XP anyway, places and programs side of the start menu can be different colors.
Open OD config, Themes, Save current dock, this will save docks, shortcuts and icon image info, when/if need to get it back, Load previous dock, select theme from list.

What OS, from your pic it looks like the pop-up menu is even behind the Windows taskbar. I am on XP, even with dock set to on top the pop-up from taskbar buttons shows over top of the dock.

There are 2 places background folders will be C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds and C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\ObjectDock Library\Backgrounds ( owner would be your logon name) the .ini files will be in the folder for the backgrounds. These paths are for XP not sure if they vary on other OSes.
neophil78; what version of WB are you using, in 7 there is now a check box for textures for explorer backgrounds; Settings, Advanced settings (uis2/1 only). If that is checked not sure why you can't use backgrounds, there is no setting in SkinStudio that would tell a skin not to.
