it still brings up the original windows 2000 boot screen
This is some what normal on some systems, for me this happened on XP until SP3 installed.
which makes the image incorrect, colors messed up, and makes the boot look terrible.
If this is a bootskin you have created yourself I think you have image wrong. It must be a 640x480, 4 bit 16 color image, if you are using a progress bar it must ha
I think it's because the general quality of its output is not up to par.

I know what you mean about the output quality of Bryce
This tends to be more that people do not understand or use the renders settings to their advantage. Bryce can render very high quality images. The premium setting has some anti-aliasing effects that most do not use. IMO, I think some would rather quickly render an image to upload it than take the hours or da

Do not know how, have seen on other threads, there is a way to have Windows recheck and adjust your experience score, if your score of 1.0 is the true score, what are your system specs, cpu, ram etc. Sounds like it is possible you are trying to run Windows 7 on a system that is really not capable of handling it.
Much to my surprise LogonStudioXP still started and ran.
Sounds like you did not set it back to default MS logon first, when not done logon in use is still stored in your system and used.
My questions are now do I need to uninstall the version I have now or just install over top of it.
Since you want the XP version for random logons then yes uninstall Vista version, set it to default MS logon first.
Ever since I updated to a newer version
LogonStudioXP has not been in development for a few years now, have you maybe installed LogonStudioVista, which is now at version 1.7 and now works on XP. If xp version 1.0.64 options is on left pane on config window, if Vista version, there is no option for random.

The list is always changing. Same thing happens when I choose show in groups the list is always different.
That menu list is to toggle on and off which groups you want to show, IMO it should have check marks to show what is selected but it does not. Click them as needed un

Murex: did you create this package within IP config by changing icons there or did you do it in Package Builder, if the first this may be the issue, I have always found it buggy when even just trying to change an icon or two in a package.
but I tried to install it on XP and Impulse says it's not compatible with my system.
Downloading stand alone installer from logonstudio site is how I got it to install, after which Impulse show it as installed. Hey Dave; On XP you can have both installed, just set one to default Windows logon (which turns it off) then you can use/run the other.
