Hey RND if ObjectDock2 Beta, this is all you now need at end of .ini [Extras] PlusImage=image name.png MinusImage=image name.png If still using 1.9 then the path is needed as PlusImage= backgrounds\skin foldername\image name Folder must be in the backgrounds folder in ObjectDock in Stardock in Program Files. For separators you need this in .ini so OD knows how to draw them

You have the problem, you want Stardock to recode ObjectDock to suit your wishes of how PE list the processes; as stated in reply 5 This is nothing to do with ObjectDock , it's related to windows and it's how PE categorizes processes . Stop with the personal attacks directed at me or I will have an admin exile you from this site.
Stardock is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and therefore must code/program within Microsoft's guidelines/rules.
Again from PE help By default Process Explorer sorts processes into the system process tree. The process tree reflects the parent-child relationship between processes where child processes are shown directly beneath their parent and right-indented. So because you know but don't like that PE works this way, Stardock, Winstep, RocketDock etc should all recode their apps so that when something is launched from t
You are simply stating my exact issue. If you would (for the love of [insert your god/belief here]) just read what I am saying, the point is that each process is opened under it's 'Parent' process, ie; Objectdock. I want the process to be opened under the ORIGINAL PARENT OF MY OS, MY SHELL. How many times do I have to say this? I realize the process itself is opened separately and that's not my issue. Once again, this is for compatibility issues I am concerned with. PLEASE read w
Please do not respond unless you have valid *truthful* information on how to fix this. I'm asking for help, not work-arounds to make it 'appear' as though it is not part of a specific process tree.
It is how Process Explorer works, anything opened from another app, Objectdock, Impulse etc will be in the tree under the parent app, it is running as it's own process but PE shows it in the tree under parent app. From PE help file By
Just click the Process column header and see how the sorting changes.
Hey Neil, if you want a couple others to test, 2 Stardock skins that where real bad on my system, Encounter and Sublime. Both slowed my system down almost to the point of it seeming to be frozen. Explorer cpu usage in the 80 - 90% range when just open start menu. Both have multiple taskbar layers, after editing layers to taskbar image cpu at 3% for Explorer.
On my system, XP, 2.4 gig celeron, 1 gig 333 ram(only runs at 266 due to celeron), ati 9200se vid card, I have had Explorer use over 80% cpu with a skin that had 4 taskbar layers, if 1 or 2 layers on taskbar Explorer cpu spikes at 40 to 50% and never settles below 20%. Hide taskbar cpu usage for Explorer drops to 3% for any skin with taskbar layers. With the skins I liked I have edited taskbar so the layers are now just part of the taskbar image, cpu usage for Explorer at 3% for any I have ed
My bad, must try not to half recall and post while eating supper, I had the text when showing for entries half in mind not being able to have the color changed, which I have noticed is another option missing, 1.9 had no labels, show below or on mouseover.
The tabs font style/size has never been changeable, all that could/can be changed via the .ini file for dock is text color and shadow color.
,but no aero effects on frames.
I believe this is a limitation of the shareware version, only included skins with translucent frames will work, downloaded skins will use the solid frames.
I thought that essentially anything posted on the web that is copywrited is identified as such. pictures that are not identified as copywrited are fair game to use.
No, other way around, it must be clearly stated that image is stock image for any use therefore considered open source, if nothing stated either way then it is still copyrighted to the orig. authour.
Not sure why you have not been using WB7 already, I am on XP still and have been using WB7 since the first beta came out. WB7 continues to be developed for XP, Vista and Windows7. WB6 will not fully skin Windows7 even with a Windows7 WB skin.
since it has been significantly changed from the original pic
From seeing the orig wall at fantom-xp.com, I can see it looks like all you have done is add a lens flare, how does that significantly change the wall? Just curious.
I just installed Process Explorer on XP to test, I would say that is the way Process Explorer works and not anything to do with ObjectDock, I think this because if you launch anything from ObjectDock and the open Windows task manager it shows as it's own running process. Again I am thinking that Process Explorer is showing under ObjectDock so you know where it was launched from, this is just a guess however.
Comparison is here
That said, I see Master's Ads in here all the time so what's the big deal?
Those are posted by Island Dog, Stardock rep, not by the skinner.
They also have the ability to post news items to the front page of WinCustomize.com
Yep this is true but the walls you have uploaded and are in public gallery for all to see is not News, IMO.
they were previously available from this site, right?
Nope, they where installed when you updated.
Hey I.R., I have never seen doubles but when I have blank preview for skin I have edited but then deleted what I do is just open random skins, close that skin then open another and so on until blanks are gone and just have previews of skins I have.
Looks like LogonStudio Vista 1.7 installed on XP, if so there is nothing to fix, that is proper apply for XP.
Why is it that I can submit shots like this on other reputable sites with no issue at all?
This is because those sites have different policies, Deviantart, unless something has changed since I last uploaded something there has no moderation at all. Even if you report a ripped skin there very rarely will it be removed, whereas here if you report a ripped skin it will normally disappear almost faster than you can blink.
OK so if I was to use a wallpaper that I downloaded from the Harley Davidson Official site and gave the link to that wallpaper would I need to be obscured it in the shot?
Yes, it is about protecting the copyright of the wall when posted here, has nothing to do with a link being provided.
I am still not sure why someone would modify a screen shot though when the actual image is easily obtainable.
There are people who would do this to then upload the wall somewhere and try to pass it off as their own work.
The ones that where approved would be because the moderator who put them up felt the wall was obscured enough. The wall need not be totally cover just some of the main focus of it covered so it would not be easily extracted from screenshot. No links to the wall are needed to upload, only if you have a link as a favour to the rest so we can go and get wall.
