I just mean writing checks that might not clear. At least it sounds like you guys have overdraft protection. I would say two adults living on a double salary, one of which is a professional salary is healthy. :) I know it probably doesn't feel that way, but trust me, you're doing great, LOL. We are upside down on our vehicle too because we were trading a vehicle in every few years instead of paying one off. Sucks, but we have definitely learned to stick with a vehicle. It

Now that I have a daughter, I get to enjoy first hand experience with the battle to find age appropriate clothing. It starts VERY young. My current issue is with Halloween costumes. Isabella loves to pretend to be a kitty. She crawls around and warbles and exaggerated "Meeeeoooow". She loves Tom and Jerry. A kitty cat is the perfect thing for her to "be" for Halloween. You would think it would be very simple to find a plain cat costume
Yes, these are definitely great rules for a quality man to abide by. It might suck sometimes, and not be what you want to do, but it won't kill you to keep your dick in your pants.
Glad you're making progress, but it sounds like you're employing some risky means to do so. Hope you're able to sell your trailer soon. Sounds like that would provide a nice bit of breathing room. We wouldn't be able to afford double rent/house payments. No way. We can't afford more than 1 vehicle either, since I stay at home with the children (heh, probably couldn't afford it if I worked either). You guys are fortunate to have such a healthy income. I am sure you are both looki
Heh, I constantly say things I later realize would have been better kept to myself. There's a fine line between being honest and expressing yourself and just making yourself miserable by angering or hurting others' feelings. I usually say things in jest to my husband that he doesn't find so funny, LOL. Luckily he gets glad in the same pants he gets mad in. :)
Thanks, San Cho. Right back atcha. Will you be visiting Spain again in the near-ish future? The thing that sucks is, even when you go back, things are never the same, LOL. Tova: That was really, really reassuring. A lot of people complain that this is the worst duty station/city. I don't think it's horrible at all, but it's such a change from Hawaii. It doesn't seem like there's a lot to do that doesn't require a long drive or a fair
I took a "vacation" back to Hawaii in my dreams last night. There was no plane ride. I was just there. Adrian was there, too. Unfortunately, he had meetings or other work-related tasks all day, everyday. We were there on a Monday through a Friday, but the time passed like it was a single day. It would suddenly be dark and night-time without there having been any time to explore or reminisce. The entire time I was sad and frustrated at having
This is really cool. What a great legacy. :)
LOL, I like your thinking Nitro Cruiser. I do think there are currently rewards and incentives for being responsible, which I think, if you actually care about doing well, makes a difference and does encourage you to continue to be responsible. On the other hand, it seems like lenders prefer people who are irresponsible, because they can get more money that way. Heh, but if you're going to throw a bunch of money at someone who is obviously a big credit risk, I don't think an
I've been over Cosmo for a little while now. I enjoyed it for a long time, but I'm at the point in my life where very little of it is relevant and it seems to be targeting late-teens to early-twenties (who think they are late teens) and not someone with a house, a husband, 3.5 kids, grey hairs, and back fat, LOL. I would much rather know how to get stains out or what shaping wear to use to suck my fat in or what new research into child development is saying than 101 redundant ways to t
Momijiki: I didn't know that about the sugar. This place was cheap, though, LOL. I guess you get what you pay for! I am not sure why anyone likes food in unusual colors, though? The sauce was definitely runny and watery. It was just really unappetizing. I have never ordered Shrimp Schezuan before. Is that what it's *supposed* to look like? LW: NO KIDDING!!!
Paladin is magical. He was a teacher. He's a battle-hardened Marine. High level government official. His daughter had an abortion. He has lurid affairs. You name it, if it helps him make a point, he is or was it or has first hand experience with it! LOL, you are really nice for even bothering to discuss anything with him, Boudica. :)
LOL, I read this to my husband, and he said, "What's he doing *letting himself go*?" Good luck with it. Hope you get to stay in if that's what you want. Otherwise, enjoy becoming a civilian. :) How long do you have before you have an answer and before you're separated?
Boudica: I should have stuck with what I knew I liked. Ugh. Although, we ordered from a different place this time because we remembered wrong which place was the "good" place. For future reference, the "good" place is Wong's. Mason: LOL, I would lose weight fast if I ate with chopsticks! Would you really eat that red mess? M-Post: You are welcome to it. It's in the fridge waiting for you, LOL. I definitely wouldn't eat it drunk though. I can't imagine how it would be
Schezuan Shrimp. a) It's RED. The picture does not do justice to the redness of this dish. b) It tastes like RED. c) It's full of water chestnuts. (I usually like them, but there's tooooo many, and they're RED) d) The shrimp are really, really RED. I am so disappointed in my food choice. I can't even eat it because
Teaching is a stressful job. I can just see a disgruntled teacher shooting up the place. Or a love triangle gone bad ending in a cafegymatorium murder-murder-suicide. I don't think teachers should take on the added responsibility of armed guard or sniper. Imagine something does go down...if the teacher isn't packing, they will be blamed. On the other hand, if they are packing and things don't go picture perfect, the teacher will be blamed, and possibly face criminal charges for acci
Boudica: Thanks! I do love it, especially when the m/s ends. It's about 95% gone now and I am HAPPY! I definitely have the jealousy for the cute little pregnant women, although now I have noticed a lot of women are proud of NOT showing. There's actually a new term called "pregorexia" describing women who over-exercise and under-eat to stay skinny while pregnant. Not me! I like having a big, round tummy. I think I feel best about myself when I'm like 7 or 8 months
Good luck Jill! It is a real feeling of accomplishment to get a closet or other area organized and sorted through and decluttered, but it really takes a lot of time and concentration! I would *love* to have every area in and out of the house perfectly organized. I think it would be a huge stress reliever.
Heh, Charles, because of this crap it's going to get harder and harder to get into a house. I am so happy that we got ours when we did and that we got the deal we did. Our mortgage is LESS than rent would be by at least several hundred a month. We do have to pay property taxes, but it's worth it to own our own place. :)
I hate how there's always something else! In Hawaii the stores would literally run out of certain supplies, and it would be such grief waiting for them to come in. Ugh. I hope we have everything we need. We did get all the items on the list, but there are usually additions that weren't listed. That sucks about the shoes! We have stopped buying the boys pricey shoes because they outgrow them so fast! Orian wears his out, but Xavier outgrows his and they still look p
I'm now 18 weeks pregnant...2 weeks away from the halfway point. Time seems to be passing very quickly. It's exciting to think that we will soon have a new baby in the house. I have been taking a picture of my side profile every 2 weeks to see the changes. I did the same thing with my pregnancy with Isabella, and afterwards it was really neat to look back at the pictures. The baby is in a stage of rapid growth, so I expect to "pop" soon and look v
Congrats on the acceptance! In some ways I miss the challenge of school but I definitely don't miss the stress!! My brother is working on his Masters right now. He got his Bachelor's, did a couple years of missionary work, then went straight on to his Master's. He's more ambitious than I am, I think! I don't really know what to say about all the drama. It sucks when the people who should be proud of you for having success and being a decent person instead use it as an exc
I don't think we can "break" the earth. I think it's a lot more resilient and long-lasting than we can imagine and it will definitely outlast us! What we can do/are doing, is making it less hospitable for ourselves and future generations. I was reading the other day that "In 1998, the annual figures, for the U.S. alone, were estimated at 12 billion sanitary pads and 7 billion tampons." Some women are switching to products like the Diva Cup and others are going back to reusabl
That's horrible, FS. I would have been crying!! Sounds like BIL has been very shady about the car!
1. Who was your best friend in the sixth grade? Maria Hernandez. She barely spoke any English and we both had to repeat what we said to each other many, many times. LOL. 2. Who was your favorite teacher? What made them your favorite? Mrs. Johnston. She was a bit of a hippie, and just very emotional and nutty and passionate. Most everyone (students, parents, faculty) hated her and gave her crap but she always really listened to me and encouraged me. 3.
