Ahh so I guess I should focus more on speeches and less on ads. That could be why I lost my last game

Anyone know exactly what media bias does? Playing as George W, I have a media bias of 1 (which I would assume is bad), but I always have positive results by doing interviews.
I agree there should be diminishing returns when campaigning issues, whether it be through TV ads or speeches.
Actually I take that back. Upon closer look I see you're only leading on the top 4 issues while you are way behind on everything below that. Even though the top 4 issues take up 70% of the total popular vote, you're not exactly blowing Bush out of the water on these issues (looks like around 60/40 in your favor), while the other 30% of the issues you are getting blown out of the water. Maybe try not to focus on just a few issues?
I LOST this election!?!? I got only 21 electorates!?!? I agree that is VERY odd. How could you be leading by so much in the important issues and still not get electoral votes? I've never come across anything like this playing through the campaign. Maybe you uncovered some kind of bug with c
5. Way too few candidates. I know you want the campaign game to unlock other people, but my goodness, the VP candidates for the GOP are HORRIBLE! Laura and Barbara Bush!? They aren't even politicians. Bob Dole/Bill Mason is retired. Arnold isn't even eligible. The only real GOP VP's are Cheney and Forbes. Where are Ridge, Frist,
I managed to get in a few turns during my lunch I looked through all the tips displayed at the beginning and found the answer to your problem. Not all interviews are there for your candidate. I think if you click on the state it will display either democrat or republican interview. I highly recommend to everyone to look through the tips, lots of good stuff there, and there aren
Good review and I agree with everything. Though I would recommend every new player try campaign first rather than just the normal game. It starts out pretty easy and you can adjust the difficulty setting as well. It has the added incentive of unlocking new politicians for play.
When I fly to the state nothing happens I see for example the o'malley factor in the lower right corner window but I don't get any invitation to participate in an interview That's odd. I've done a few TV appearances and all I had to do was fly to the state with the camera. Maybe it depends on a charac
Just fly to the state where you see the camera and you'll be offered to make an 'appearance'.
uhhh... and that answer is.........................? Get a totalgaming.net account and download the game immediately... or.. order the game directly from Stardock (for $29.95) and receive your game via shipping. I'd be willing to bet that stores like EBgames are not going to put this game on the shelve
Its just an unfair AI advantage. You need to cause the turn to pause when the turn changes. Mine does not. My weekly news only comes up periodically (maybe every 4th week) and nothing else seems to pause the turn at all. The turn flips and Kerry is in the air, grabbing the special event ?'s. My news onl
The trick is just to realize the special events are real time and be ready for them every time you click the 'TURN' button. As long as you're looking for them, I've found that they usually go to whichever candidate happens to be closer to the event (not to the AI every time). I have actually started to like this part of the game. It's something that requires quick hand-eye coordination and a little luck rather than just pure strategy and number crun
I've called eb two days in a row now, they have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention the game title. Ebgames is not the great gaming store I once thought they were. If the game is not an over-hyped, over-priced ($60) flavor-of-the-week, then chances are they don't know about it, won't be
Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX. It's DirectX 9c I think. Find out what you have by going to Start->Run->dxdiag.
Justin, I really think just nobody is going online yet. Not everybody could download the game and those that could are probably trying to learn it single player first (that is what I'm doing). I went online for just a few minutes yesterday and then left (there was nobody there at that time either). Wasn't really planning on playing an online game, just thought I'd take a look at the online interface. I don't know about saving onlin
